You are entering a very dangerous field here, hon. First! You never! never! loan your credit card to anybody! Even your sister! And yes! It is illegal to knowingly loan your credit card to anybody! Secondly! Why doesn't your sister sign-up for her own card if she really needs one? And thirdly! There is no way you can get restitution if you loose your money! In fact they will chase you for all monies owing! Regardless of who run up the debt! Sometimes an act of kindness can turn and hit you in the face! Beware hon! And have a think before you act. Well, you can put her name under your card too. I mean, some companies offer that kind of program. Different name but same card number, same credit line. |

If you want your sister to be able to use your card, you need to get in touch with your credit card company and have her added as an authorized user. |

No she cannot do that because the authentication of using the card has to be done using your card and they check for the match with the back of your card. And what you can do actually is get her a supplementary card under your primary card with the same credit limit in her name. That way you both will be sharing one credit limit using two different owneship of cards |

Well technically only you should be allowed to use the card. Most stores should id or at least check to see if the signatures match. You could definitely get away with it shopping on line though. |

Yes online, you can get away with it. Offline is a bit difficult. She should use it online. |

No not really because some stores have to check id and if her name don t match the credit card name shw will get in trouble and also the stores won t accept it. The stores will think that she stole it. She could get arresting for it. But if you have the same address and last name and she your relative you should nt have no problem. |

No i dont think that is legal. The signature will be verified by the shop owner. Never give your credit card to any one.
May be you can ask the card company to issue add on card to your sister. But you may be liable to pay the outstanding amount if she dones not pay using the add on card |
