Can somebody help me find financing!??!!?
I just turned 18 (Mar. 8th) and have NO credit. I live in GA

I've been working very hard as well as saving very hard so that I can buy myself a NEW motorcycle

It is a 2007 model sportbike that I'll be buying new from a dealer (Suzuki). I have $6000 that I have saved and would like to put down, maybe a little more. I have had a steady job for the past 9mnths with promotions. I make more than enough in one WEEK to make the MONTHLY payments on the bike (pymnts being ~150-250/mnth)

Now I CANNOT find financing. I'd like to borrow around $3500 - $4000. OTD price of ~9,750. I DONT HAVE ANYONE TO CO-SIGN!

As collateral, there would be a bike that is worth MORE than twice the amount borrowed

I have calculated ALL costs of buying/owning the bike so dont tell me about insurance, etc, etc. THAT part I have figured out. I have gear already too

Honestly, Im just a good kid trying to get what he's been busting his a$$ for for the past 9 mnths, trying to get my first chance

PLZ HELP!!!

This is a situation in which it would be appropriate to ask a family member to cosign.

And I, like many others here, would like to applaud your responsibility - I'm surprised with that size down payment that the dealership won't find a way to finance you.

Keep saving while you're exploring your options too!

Try www.prosper.com or some other peer to peer lending site.

That is wonderful!! You sound very responsible!!! You are on the RIGHT TRACK in saving. With a little more patience , Why not wait just a little longer and pay cash?. That way you can walk away the proud owner of a sport bike that is PAID-IN-FULL. To speed up this process of saving maybe work some overtime or do odd jobs temporarily for a few more months if you can hang in there dont be to anxoius though. But also talk down the price that way you can walk away with a deal. Dont flash the cash until you talked them into bringing down the price. Not to decieve but you have to look out for you as well.

In doing so you will establish credibilty as well. With that method you wont have to have a co signer at all. Just give them the cash (full amount) and walk away with an item. Loan free. You also will appreciete it more in knowing that you paid it in full. Why have payments when today's economy is shaky and so is the job market? Here is a book that will inspire you.

http://moneyforwheels.com provide loan for motorcycles. They provide loan at a lower interest rate and also you would get more loan amount as compared to your motor bike amount. Here you would get a no cosigner loans.

Without a co-signer it will be next to impossible to find any legitimate lender to finance you. A motorcycle is considered a luxury item and does not have the same lending guidelines as a regular car. Under most circumstances a 60% downpayment for a car and you having a job would get you the car loan(although still at a high interest rate).

If you want a bike now think about a cheaper bike. You could probably get fairly new bike for around(or very close) to what you have now.

But if you must have this one and if I read this right you make $600 a month(minimum). At this rate you would only have to wait no more than another 5 months to pay it in full.

You could also try again in a couple months when you would only have to finance about $2000 and see if you can get approved then.

Most dealerships have financing available through them that they are willing to try with people even if they dont have credit. Outside of that, if you don't have any credit, a cosigner or collateral, you will have a tought time financing this with anyone. Have you had a checking account at a local bank that you have been doing business with for a while. They might be more willing to help you out.

I think you should wait for a while even if the sport bike is important to you. As an old man, I learned many new stuffs are likely getting cheaper but better. You probably can get it for as low as $6,000 for a better sport bike after six months. Just look at the prices of TV and computer, they getting cheaper and better. Be patient, young fellow.

Sometimes if you go and talk to the dealership and if you have a large down payment (at least 1/2 the cost of the item) they will work with you.

The problem that you are running into is that you don't have any credit established. And your employment term is too short.

Normally, lenders like to see someone with a good credit history. Trade lines are required, and purchasing a motorcycle or automobile is very difficult without the proper credit history.

Goto annualcreditreport.com, and pull your own credit to see what they are looking at.

Otherwise, you might need to hold off on the purchase. Is it possible that your parents or relative could add you as an authorized user to an existing (good credit standing) credit card?

Usually that, and a couple utility bills helps you get things started.

Good luck
