Simply put, people can make a loan to themselves by buying on credit stuff they may not really need, and then not having the money in the future to pay for their purchases, at which time interest charges kick in, sometimes late fees, sometimes over limit fees, and they ruin their lives and credit and their financial future.
Some say indiscriminate buying is a lack of discipline, but there is tremendous pressure put on people to buy, buy, buy, because that leads to happiness and fulfillment and the good life - or so advertisers want you to believe. |
