I have some medical bills in TX and they have never reported to my credit bureau. My score is like 715 and my medical bills were about $3500. They never showed up and it's been about 3 yrs. |

Thats true, however if/when your bills are sold to the debt collectors they (collectors) will report them as debts to your credit history without going into much detail what those debts are. |

That there is an unpaid medical bill may be reported, but not what the medical condition or treatment was. Credit information is allowed, medical information is confidential. |

No, that would not be true. Medical bills are reported and go to collection agencies just like any other money you owe someone. |

Unlikely. Why would anyone ever pay a one-time, non-recurring medical bill from a provider you won't see again if that were the case? |

That's ridiculous. Those debts will appear on your credit report. |

Unpaid medical bills do go on your credit report. I check peoples credit every day for approvals for apartment complex' and I see it every day. This has been discussed for many many years and there are a lot of people out there that believe they don't have to pay because they have heard it won't show up but yes it does. It might take years but eventually it will surface! |

Coming from someone who *does* have unpaid medical bills on her credit report, and who spent several years reviewing people's credit with them on a daily basis, yes they can be reported. It may depend on your state, and if it was placed with a collections agency. It will show a status of "Unpaid Medical" under the 'notes' section of the entry on your credit report. |

i heard something like that too when i was younger, but guess what, they were wrong, and they sure are on my credit history, just pay like, $20 a month to them, dont let it effect you as it has so many others. |

I know in Michigan the hospitals will put your bills on your credit report. I got a copy of mine, and i owe over 20g in bills. I even called the hospitals and they told me its the only way of ever recovering thier money. |

Yes it is true, I just found that out recently. It could go on your credit report, but when creditors look at your report they cannot see them, only you can when you are looking at your credit report. It is not visable to the eye of the creditor. |

Depends on your state, but mostly yes. |
