NO,
it would just be a civil case, if it gets really bad you can file for personal bankruptcy.
but no you will not go to jail |

That all depends, if the DA can prove that you ran up charges knowing you couldn't pay then YES you could go to Federal Prison for Fraud... So be careful not to listen to all these people saying NO, although it is not likely that you would serve time, it is possible. |

Absolutely not. But it will ruin your credit, which will make it hard for you to ever buy a house or car, and it can even prevent you from getting a job in many places. |

there is no such thing as debtor prison. Fraud is very hard to prove, unless you really did it.. If you truly are having financial issues seek help so that if summoned to court by a creditor you can show your trying to get help, and taking care of the situation

no..the collection people will keep sending letters and calling u. It will go on your credit report as a unpaid bill. If you pay only 10.00 a month that is saying you are attempting to pay it. |

Not in Canada or the USA.Debtors prisons were outlawed it the late 18th century. What will happen is that you will no longer be able to borrow money as they will be sent to collections and interest will start to accumulate on that debt until it is paid.At some point over the next 7 years the collection will turn into a judgement and your earnings will be garenghied and the money will come out of your paycheck(possible job loss) ,most employers do not like the extra paper work that is involved in this process. My advice to you is to make a deal with credit card company and pay the debt over time and have the interest waived. |

The credit card company can file a judgment against you. As far as jail time, usually not, but a judgment is bad enough. |

LOL never. Some countires may do that, but civlized ones would never.
However, it is more likely that if you dont pay your credit card bills you will follow a path in life that may put you at greater risk for commiting another crime that will get you sent to Jail. |
