It might be possible, but why would you want to?
Instead, save up cash and buy something used. Continue to save money and keep moving up in car until you get what you want.
Otherwise, go into debt and cause stress in your life by getting a loan.

you can buy what ever you want with your credit card. I mean anything, even a car......and yes you can get a card with no credit but, you need a godd income for that...I got my first credit card after I got a job at the USPS......if you are trying for a card for the first time you might wanna start with the credit card that works with money that you already have in the bank or one that starts off with a $300.00 limit........good luck.... ;) |

If the available credit on the card is high enough, and the agreement does'nt prohibit you from doing so. The problem is that the interest rate on the credit card is probably much higher than what you would get for a loan from a bank or finance company.
You can get credit cards with no credit from some companies, but usually, the limit is low. You can also get debit cards from banks that work similar to credit cards with the benefit that you can't go into debt with them.
I know of only one person who bought a car with a credit card, and this person did so while having the money in the bank to pay for it. The car was paid for before the next billing cycle and he incurred no finance fees for buying his car. It was just a convenient way for him to handle the cash.

Shaq iz Phat is correct.
However, they are technically violating the MasterCard/visa Maximum purchase limit by not allowing it to be put on the card. Very few people have a 30,000 limit (Which may be the highest).
According to MasterCard and Visa policy.
merchants can not check your id or set minimum or maximum purchase amount in the U.S.
A lot merchants violate these policies. |

If the CC doesn't have a high intrest rate and a higher limit, why not. It will avoid all the drama of finding a finance co. I would think. Call a dealer and ask. |

Most, if not all, new car dealer will not let you charge the full cost of the vehicle on your credit card. But they will let you charge a smaller amount, up to $5000 usually. The main reason is there is a 3% merchant fee they have to pay to the credit card company and with the small profit margin on new cars, they do not want to saddled with that fee. Another reason could be that you could dispute the charge.
I've actually seen someone on Yahoo Answers who disputed a $2000 charge he made on a new car purchase. The credit card company reversed the charge and now the dealer is suing him. So yeah there are people who will dispute legitimate charges trying to get away not paying.
But most used car dealers do not have a problem letting you charge the full purchase price to credit cards. I've even heard of people buying $25K cars with their credit cards. Profit margin on used cars are as high as 400% so they don't mind paying the 3% fee, apparently.
Charging the full purchase price to credit card makes sense if you have special perks such as cash back, airline miles, gift points, etc. Also if the APR is lower than had you financed with a bank. Plus if you default on a credit card, they won't repossess your car. But they will if you default on a car loan.
And, yes, you can get a credit card with no credit. Isn't that how all of us started out? If you're a student, you shouldn't have a problem getting one, or ten. Go to the student union and they got dozens of credit card companies practically handing it out to students. No job required. If not a student, you can still get one. Just apply at numerous credit card websites. My first card was a $3000 limit VISA... I had no prior credit at the time. |

Nope, unless it's a car less than $1000 (not too many). As the other guy said, it's usually to hold the car or for a down payment.
The reason is that millions of car loan sharks would be out of business if people charged cars on credit cards. Also, the car could not be repossessed as easily if put on a credit card. It would be a long drawn out process.
With the way car loans work (and the sharks like it this way), if you are 1 second late with your payment, the repo tow truck is yanking your car out of the garage in 2 seconds.
That's the game. That's how they really make $ on a car. They will sell the same car repeatedly this way. They know that people are people and forget or lose a job, get divorced, etc, etc. |
