**In response to what someone else said about you not having coverage for fraud with a debit card. This is not true - anything with the VISA or Mastercard logo is backed for fraud just as Credit Card. The hard part is getting the bank to realize it was fraud. When you go online or on the phone and you give out your card number you are consenting for that business to make a debit to that card, if they do it for too much that is where proving it was for too much becomes an issue; not because it is a debit card! |

Yes as long as you have enough funds in your bank account. Sometimes, people don't pay attention to their balance. So, make sure you do have enough funds in there to pay for the item. It is accepted everywhere as long as it has a Visa or Mastercharge logo. |

Yes, you'd input the same data as you would with a credit card.
If it's only an ATM card, and not ATM/Debit, then no, but if it's a Debit Card (usually containing a majory credit card company logo on it) then you can process it online with the card #, and the 3 or 4 digit verification code just as you normally would with Visa or Mastercard, etc. |

I think as long as its a mastercard or visa it will work. Not sure about those green dot cards though. My debit card through my bank is mastercard. Its technically a debit card but can act as credit as well.

Yes, you can, but please be aware that you have no fraud protection with a debit card. If your card number gets into the wrong hands (say checkout isn’t secure or the site is hacked), it will be difficult to recoup any losses from unauthorized use of your card.
If you do have a credit card, it's better to use it online so you do have protection and then just pay the bill from your checking account. |
