What you're asking for isn't going to happen because unfortunately the unsecured credit cards you're looking for are offered for people with good to excellent credit. Orchard Bank offers credit cards for people that are trying to rebuild their credit or just build it altogether. Another option would be by checking where you bank to see if secured credit cards are offered. There's an old saying that you have to "pay the cost to be the boss", and it's no different for credit.

It's good that you have no open accounts. You will want to write to the credit bureaus to make sure that the information that they have on file is correct, and dispute it if it is not correct. Also, if there were circumstances behind you incurring bad credit, such as a divorce, identity theft, or a long illness that prevented you from working, you will want to document this a place a letter in your files from the three major credit bureaus.

It does take time for negative entries to drop your report- can be three years or up to 7-10 years for a bankruptcy.

You should call & make settlement payments to all your creditors, 9 times out of 10 they'll agree to what you can pay. They would rater get money out of you than for you to file Bk. After you pay your debts off apply for a unsecured credit card & make sure you never have any 30 over day lates, matter of fact on any of your bills, lenders look for good trade lines & paid off accounts. If you have any over 30 day lates on your financial accounts it will report bad on you credit & you'll find yourself in the same boat as before.

There are more that a few lenders who specialize in credit cards for people with bad credit. You just have to look a little harder than most people have to.

And getting a card after you've had a few problems doesn't necessarily mean that you have a higher than normal rate. Like, I said, you'll just have to compare between credit lines, yearly fees, and interest percentages. Just make sure you do your homework BEFORE you commit, and you'll be fine.

You can find some offers for credit cards, both secured and unsecured here:

Just be careful how you use it.

Are you in Canada?
There are a number of secured credit cards available - where are you located and where do you bank?

I have 15 plus years in the finance industry

There are lots of credit card companies that specialize in people with bad credit. They charge a very high interest rate.

If you have a bank account, ask your current bank if they’ll give you a low limit credit card. You can also apply to several banks. Capital One is really easy to get a card with, but they have terrible customer service.

Just remember that to build good credit, you will need to only charge what you can pay for and pay your bill off at each billing cycle.

A Credit card for people with bad credit is a form of borrowing that often involves charges. So it's wise to compare terms and fees before you agree to open a credit or charge card account. Try looking for a credit card<!--with a low APR. Find out the APR because this is the amount charged to you on monthly balances.

Are you overwhelmed with credit card offers and don’t know which one is right for you? Tired of looking for a credit card? Chances are you have received your share of credit card solicitations. Not sure-->which credit cards you should apply for? Shop around because not all credit cards for people with bad credit are created equal.
