Yes, many unsolicited offers that you get in the mail have an opt out number on the small piece of paper listing their disclosures. I think you can also notify the credit bureaus (Experian, Transunion and Equifax) that you opt out, which will not allow credit card companies to view the basic criteria needed to extend an offer to APPLY for credit. |

You "opt out" by not signing for them. Destry the card and throw the pieces away.
If you attempt to send anything to the credit card company ASKING them to "opt ou out," that will likely generate even more junk mail because they know that a real person opened up the envelope with the initial offer.
Its kind of like replying to junk email. If you repy, asking for them not to send you anymore junk mail, they can sell your address to another spammer because they can say that it is a legitimate, active email account. |

Of course...I think you can send them something or call them and have them take you off of the mailing list...That goes against your credit score when they send the pre-approved offers....Can mess your beacon score up...Good luck with it!! |
