I have a bank account that I'm bringing current and I was just wondering if you could overnight deposit money orders into your account.

yes of course. A money order is the same as cash! There are no holds put on it like a check. SO there is no waiting periond for it. All you need to do is depsit it as you would cash! It will be in your account w the same speed as if you were dpositing cash ans it is actually safer then depositing cash if you are doing it in a night drop. This way you actually have a reciept of this cash so there are no descrepencies if the bank tries to claim it was never recieved!

You can put it in the overnight deposit safe -it is a vault located outside of every bank. Put it in with a deposit slip and in the morning 2 people verify all transactions and it is in your acct. first thing in the morning.

I'm not sure what you mean by overnight deposit. I'll assume you mean deposit through an ATM at the bank or their secure deposit drawer.
A money order is just like a check. It will be recorded at the opening of business, and clear for use in the banks usual time frame.

They will take a day or two, to clear, just like a personal check.
They're not treated like cash. because they're have been
bad money orders, just like bad checks.

Yes, but the deposit won't be credited to your account until the following business day--which means some of your outstanding checks may bounce.

are you talking cash??
my bank lets me instant-deposit from another bank's debit card (or from a friend/family member's debit card).
Takes 2 min for the money to be recorded as 'in my account', by phone.
so in case of emergency, you could give mom or a friend your cash, and have them deposit it w/their debit card. Make sure your bank offers that service.
