It probably depends on the type of gift card and/or the store you're buying it at. I know I have charged them before. |

It could depend on where you're buying the gift card. I know that I've been able to buy gfit cards at Future Shop (in Canada, owned by Best Buy) and Eddie Bauer (again, in Canada) and pay by credit card. |

It varies by store policy. At my store, we will allow prepaid card purchases (gift or phone cards) on credit up to $24.99. If the card is $25 or more, it must be cash or debit card. |

Not true, i used a credit card before to purchase a gift card.................. i guess it just depends on the store that's selling the gift card.. |

If you were told gift card purchases must be in cash, you can't buy them at that location with a credit card. Many places will allow you to buy gift cards with a credit card, but they don't have to. |

Yep, I do all the time! =) You can also use a debit card as long as it has a Visa/Master card logo on it. |

I don't see why not. It is the same as a purchase. |

Depends on the store policy. However, be cautious when using a credit card to purchase gift cards. Some Visa and MasterCards may treat the gift card purchase as a cash advance. |

Of course you can, people use their credit cards to pay off other credit cards, I wouldn't suggest doing that but it is being done. |
