I have a CapOne card, I pay my balance in full each month and I have had no problems with them.
As for the post that says they do not report your credit limit, just your high balance... well, those days are over! CapOne announced in August that they will begin reporting customers' credit limits to all 3 credit bureaus for ALL customers by the end of the year. As a matter of fact, mine is currently being reported to Experian (I haven't checked TU/EQ). |

Capital One is one of the worst credit cards to have
do you know that if they give you a credit limit of say $2,000
and you spend $250.00 on that card that's what they report as your limit to the 3 credit reporting agencies so it looks like you are maxing out your credit card every month and it will lower your FICO score .DONT ever sign up with Capital One..And I know this for a fact as a couple of my friends and family all have seen this on there credit reports.. |

Reading the answers here scares me, as I have been a customer of Capital One's for 5 years now and have had no problems with them.
However, I pay my balance off each month to avoid interest.
My opinion is do it, if you are confident you can keep up repayments, but the interest rate will increase over time. |

The catch is that this company is trying to survive the sub-prime nightmare and bail itself out with its cash back nonsence.
Dont do it. It is bunch of bs. |

NO!- read the small print, it says cant start claiming cash back till January - I applied for card last year and was told OK £500+ but only got £250 and still waiting for it to go up. They don't like it if you pay it off each month. |

Hello,
(ANS) I used to work for a market research company and many of the clients were large well known names in the credit card industry. One of the clients we did lots of jobs for was Capitol One.
My sincere advise to you is DON'T TOUCH capitol one with a cow prod, please don't get involved with capitol one.
**NOTE:- I had to speak to a large number of capitol one customers and extremely few of them had a good word to say about this company.
**Capitol One is a vest business operation, with a large site here in Leeds. Capitol One is so wealthy and they make such massive profits that they can afford to run one the UK's largest super computers. A Cray super computer, only the Met-Office has one comparable to model the daily weather forecast.
**Capitol One have deliberately targeted people with poor or dysfunctional credit ratings (dirty credit histories) and will lend to people like this when the big four high street banks wont. However, the catch is the interest rates if you default on your loan or CC bill's.
**Capitol One will hound you or bombard you with endless marketing material and offers of cheap loans. The way they do business is verging on the immoral in my opinion, so don't get involved with them no matter how wonderful their offers sound.
**There customer service is extremely poor quality too.

Don't do it!!!
Capital One are a nightmare, even when I tried to cancel my account with them they still pursued me trying to get me to reconsider. I was getting 3 or 4 calls a day, in the end I had to send them a solicitors letter. I've heard loads of bad reports about this company. |

Capital One SUCKS!!!!
They will totally screw you. Their customer service people are rude. And the low interest rate will only last for the first few months then they jump it up.
Its not worth it. |
