Convert a visa gift card?
i have (4) $500 visa gift cards issued by wells fargo, i really want to use them to pay my CC bill. obviously you cant use one credit card to pay another. is there a way i could convert it to cash? then pay my credit card.
You should be able to pay your bill with the credit card. Just call your CC company.

Damn...you had some generous gift givers this past X-Mas! I have gotten a couple of these Visa debit cards as gifts myself.
You could buy something for $500, then turn around and return the item the next day and get the cash back (which they always will do when a debit card it used to make a purchase).
I'm not sure of any other way....Sorry.

technically you can use one card to pay another, it's called a balance transfer, however you cannot do a balance transfer with gift cards unfortunately.

What I would do. Is use the card to buy groceries and everyday items. Then save the money you would use for that to pay the credit card.

Using a debit card you can get a money order at some post offices but you have to enter a pin. I have done this.

yes, you can use them to pay your bill. I have. I dont know why you think you cant. People use credit cards to pay off credit cards all the time (also known as transferring a balance) with the gift cards just use them like you would a credit card. I even used one I had to go online and pay my power bill.

I had a Visa gift card issued by Bank of America and read the Terms & Conditions and one of the things that it stated was that they could not be used to obtain cash.
You may want to check with Wells on this one.

GO to the post office and buy money orders with them!
They will cost you less than a dollar and you can then send the money orders to your credit card company.
The only catch is that you have to use the card as a debit to run it thru the post office's machines.
They wont let you use a credit card to purchase a money order.
