I don't think many people accept checks on ebay. You need to go to PayPal and set up an account. You can link it to the checking account that you have and when you win a bid, the money is automatically taken out of your account, rather than you having to right a check. |

That totally depends on the ebay seller and whether they accept them. I don't. But you can link your checking thru paypal-easy to do and pay that way or most sellers will also take a cashiers check or m/o. Read the tutorials for buyers! |

Yes you can! Their ad says Paypal is -accepted-, not -required-.
Write the seller and tell them you'd like to send them a check, and could you please have their address? The only problem is that they will not ship the item for several days, waiting for the check to clear. You can also buy a money order and send that, which is faster but you have to pay something for the money order (not much).
I pay for things on EBay with checks and money orders all the time. |

It all depends on the way the seller wants to be paid. Some do accept personal checks but will not ship the item until the check is cleared and that delays your purchase. |

Write your info. on the top where your name would normally go. The seller will probably wait 10 days for the check to clear the bank before mailing your purchase. It would be faster and easier for you to use Pay Pal or a money order. |

Ask the seller and explain that your own personal checks have not come in the mail yet. Usually the seller will be OK as long as your paying the right price. Good luck! |

You have to read the page and if they accept personal checks, ask the seller if they will accept one from you under these circumstances. Why not set up a PayPal account so the funds can be deducted from your account and the seller doesn't have to wonder if they will get their money? Most sellers take PayPal, but again you have to read the page to see what their terms are. |
