YES...But the normal HOLD times come into play...
If you write yourself a check and take it to the same bank it is written on- It is the same thing as a withdrawal slip.i. e. Immediately taken out of your account..
On transfers- There are a gozillion ways. For large amounts of dough- Wire Transfers through the bank. Watch the fees- Can have them waived though depending on how good of a cust. you are.
For everyday thansfers..Contact both banks ans look into their on-line banking...They vary widely
Note" Transfers within the same bank...Like to take money from your savings and put it in your checking...ALL can be done at an ATM machine. Go to a branch and ask them to "link" the accounts..Also, check their on-line services too..

You can do this as long as you actually have the funds to transfer. To do otherwise is called kiting and it is a federal offense. |

You can do that or you can paypal yourself from your debit card. I don't think you can easily transfer money from one bank to another because that's the whole point of checks. |

for years banks have offered wire transfer bank to bank in most cases you get it the same day. you can deposit money in one bank and ATM it the same day if you use cash if it is a ck. you will have to wait. i called a friend in us they deposited money in my bank account 9:30 am i ATM the money 1:45 pm San Pedro Sula Honduras. if time is not important just write the ck. dep. |

AAACCKKK! Don't write "cash" on it. It's being written to another BANK! (I'm assuming it's a different bank--not just a different branch of the same bank.) Make the check out to yourself and send it to the other bank, along with a deposit slip with all of your account info on it--much like you would pay your credit card bill.
The check will have all of the necessary info on it from the other bank. Be sure to include the deposit slip, though. Otherwise, they won't know what to do with the check. |
