Credit card for student with limited or no credit history?
I have recently started looking for the best credit card for me to pay for a couple semesters of school and a little bit of automotive work. I plan on doing an auto pay. The credit card i'm looking for is to help me build my credit and any unexpected costs that pop up.
I would try capital one. They usually approve people, and if you apply online they will tell you instantly if you are approved. Also customer service is not that bad. You get 0% interest rate for six months. It maybe longer though depending on your credit.
Hopes This Helps
Good Luck

If you already have some credit, Discover use to offer a "student card" which was designed to help students become credit addicts.. LOL Just kidding, it was designed to help students build credit and a solid financial history. I worked there for a while and I did a lot of those cards. :) If you have NO credit or bad credit and just want to build some, check out First Premier Bank.. they are designed to help build credit. You can also apply at your bank and sometimes credit unions. :) Good Luck!

I don't know which one you should buy but make sure you don't think you won't have to pay until after you graduate.

Look for cards with 0% APR for 12 months. I think Discover has such deals. If you are wanting to carry a balance, you would want a card with 0% APR on balance for as long as you can get. Carrying a balance with 20% APR which is usually the norm can get you in a lot of trouble!
Usually Citi, Chase and Discover offer 0% APR for 12 months. As a student, you may want to look into it.

My kids did OK with some of the no-fee student card offers that students get flooded with.

http://credcards.noneto.com - try this one. I personally use their card. It is also very good to build credit rating and doesn’t charge monthly fee.
