Credit card payment?
Quick question that has me confused. Let's say my credit card payment isn't due until April 12th, and I pay on the 29th of March... would my payment apply for the month of April? Or would that just be an extra payment made in March and therefore I would have to make another payment in the month of April?

Your Payment is due when you get the bill, however it must be paid by the due date. Your bill doesn't necessarily run from March 1 - April 1. It can run from March 12 to April 12.. Paying on the 29 is a good time and you won't be charged a late fee.

As long as the payment is made after the closing date that is on your account, it is applied as the next month's payment. That has been my experience with my credit cards. If you want to be absolutely sure, call the customer service number on the back of your credit card and ask them. It never hurts to be sure.

Your payment "applies" to the April 12th deadline. Credit cards bill according to their billing cycle, not by calendar month.

with a cc you usually have a 19 to 30 day grace period. you have to pay on time or you will have a late payment. your payment applies toward the purchases you already made that would be the mo of march. In other words you paid yourApril 12th bill. If you make more puchases your next bill will be My12th...a thirty day billing cycle. Hope this helps.

no
if you pay before duedate anyt ime that it is....its just advanced payment and will help you to have time for otherthings, in your example it will be made to 12th of april no problem they would even love you for that

Lionheart ®
The month has nothing to do with it. The previous payment was due on March 12th. If they didn't get it on time it would just be a late payment. If they get the one due April 12th by 2pm that day, it is an April payment.

La Vie Boheme
That payment applies to April.

Stick
it would apply towards the April 12th payment
