Obviously as the other answerer's have said call the police. Contact the bank and get the card cancelled, as soon as you inform the theft you are not liable for anything. Distraction theft is quite common, although distressing. Never take your eyes from the ATM, even if a woman on crutches falls over, as that is another scam. I'm so sorry to hear of this. I sincerely hope your wife is ok, and they catch these @$$ holes. xx |

Call the bank IMMEDIATELY. The bank need to know because they won't hold her liable for any charges on the card *after* it is reported missing. She *may* be held liable for charges before it's reported missing.
The bank will probably inform the police on your behalf, but if they don't, then call them next. Almost all ATMs have CCTV installed and they will quickly be able to view it to see the crime happening.
Don't get too angry about it. Your wife will certainly be inconvenienced while it takes her a week or so to get a new card, but she shouldn't lose out financially. I'm sure she's upset and shaken but hopefully she will get over that soon.
This is actually one of the most pointless crimes because as soon as the card is reported missing, it can't be used without being traced and people never get away with this sort of thing for long. |

Cancel the card and report it to the police. There are generally camera's around ATM's so hopefully there will be footage somewhere.
If you mean 'what would we do' in the physical sense - i'd sand down the corners of the card into 4 really sharp points and make them swallow it - while reciting the PIN number :) |

Well after ripin their balls off...I would get out my old statements and call the company immediatly. Since they were taken directly from her at an ATM I would also contact teh police so they can look at ATM footage and try and catch the guys cause the next person may not be so lucky. once you contact the credit card companies they will turn off the account and send you a new one and you are not liable for any charges |

There's no point saying something like "I would rip their ____ off" because these kinds of people will only pick on people at ATMs who they reckon aren't strong enough to fight back.
What you have to do is immediately call your credit card company, and then the police straight afterwards. There's a lot of CCTV at ATMs nowadays and if they weren't caught in the act of grabbing the card, maybe they'll get caught as soon as they try to use it. |

Call CC company immediately to cancel card. Don't contact police they will not be of any use, it's just a waste of time.
Ask around and try and hunt the black guys down
Further thought - take that guy up on the offer for the rifle borrowing - it may come in use on the hunt |
