Credit card with a 29.9 apr% is this a good choice???

echo
I agree with the rest - that interest rate is extremely high.

If you are limited on your choices as far as being approved for credit because you had bad or no credit and want the card to start building or rebuilding, then I would strongly recommend that you use that card as a "pay in full when you receive the statement" type of card.

Never use the card for large purchases and don't use the card every month. Always pay it totally off when you receive the statement.

That way you can build/rebuild your credit without having to pay that high interest.

If you already have decent credit, you don't need that card - tell them to bite you.

God, NO!

Einstein said, "Those who understand compound interest collect it. Those who don't, pay it."

So, it's a good choice for the person collecting 29.9. And a horrible choice for the person paying it.

Where I come from, that's called Usury. If you can't get a card with an APR that's less than 20%, try to apply for a secured card or piggyback as a secondary cardholder on another credit card account. That credit card will get you into huge debt - they'll probably increase your APR to 40% if you miss a payment. Shop around for a better rate.

Definitely not. Shop around and you can find better rates.

ztim21
Horrible. You can call companies and negiogiate APRs. Most people do not know that.

chaleychan
Were you offered this card or has the rate increased to 29.9%? Don't apply for it and if that's what they charge you now pay it off as quick as you can!

luckylindy0
NO WAY- thats highway robbery.

s0ccerkid04
not to be rude or anything but, that is not a good choice :[.....try to look for something lower....

Jeremy P
That's pretty high. Even if you have poor credit, you should still be able to get lower APR than 29.9%. Here's a complete list of credit cards for people with poor credit that might be a better choice:

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

That's really quite high. If you are just starting out with your credit though, you might not get many offers that are lower.

malakit
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Are nuts. Rates are as low as 7.5 %. People with bad credits are offered that high rate.
