Capital One is a good one to start with but the interest rate is very high! Also if you have a bank account its a good idea to start by asking your bank one for one because you already have a credit rating with them. However, only have one if you really really must- they are a pure nightmare and a half. If you really must have one, buy one thing at a time and pay off the balance in full before the end of the month.
EDIT- Please, please avoid people on here who offer you credit- not recommended for people in your situation- or any other actually. |

The Vanquish credit card is for people with little or no credit history. They charge up to 39% interest which is outragous.
If you want it to shop on line, get a prepaid one and set your own credit limit. This way if you are a bit short one month you won't have to worry about another bill. |

Without having any credit, it will be very hard to obtain a credit card. It is ironic that the way start earning credit is through a credit card, but the only way to get a credit card is to have credit! Your best bet is to go to a bank and get a secured credit card. They set a balance for you, and it makes it an easy, safe way to earn credit. You just have to make sure that they report your balances to credit score agencies. That is how I started my credit history. |

If you have a car loan you can check to see if they offer credit cards. They would have history with you and can make an easy decision. If you have no credit at all you can contact your bank and do a secured credit card. This means that if you have 500.00 in a savings account they can offer you up to 500.00 on credit and if you do not pay them back they can take it from your savings (secured). If this is not an option then you will find Discover card pretty flexible and has a cash back bonus. |

The secret of instant approval credit cards is the speed of the Internet and the advanced communication networks designed for the banking industry. As soon as you submit your application, banks can now immediately find your identity and get your credit history from either of the 3 national credit bureaus, to check if your FICO score fulfills their selection criteria. Your FICO score is a mathematical computation done by each credit bureau to grade your credit history on a range of 0 – 800.

I don't know that one specific company is better than others, what makes one make attractable is the lower percentage rate if you think you may ever carry a balance. If you are going to pay the balance off every month, they are all very similar.
It is a good move to establish credit if you use it properly. |
