Report them to your attorney generals office, you can often find an online complaint form to fill out and have notorized.
Send along a copy of your drivers liscence to prove who you are. |

Just play their game and call them every 20 minutes stating you're waiting for a call back from their manager. |

That is going to be tough.
You may have to get nasty with them and tell them to stop calling your house.
Best to just check to caller id and don't answer the phone. It will take awhile but they will stop calling. |

try going on the donotcall list with the gov't - then keep a log by your phone and get their name company & phone number when they call - then tell them if they call again you will report them for violating the donotcall law and the fair credit act. do some research on the fair credit act. |

If they have been told that they have an incorrect phone number, then this really is harassment by telephone. Contact your local police and the telephone company security department (or whatever your company calls it).
You will need to know the date and time that you told them the debtor doesn't live there and to stop calling, so make notes the next time if you haven't already done this. Find out as much as you can about the caller (name, return phone, etc.). Caller-ID helps, too. Good luck. |

You have rights as a consumer, it's unfortunate that they don't believe you on your mistaken identity. If they don't want to stop calling you at your request, change you phone number as a last resort. |

I have to say ....creditors are like a bunch of pest ......
A friend of mine , had this problem , I told her about it ,
but she didnt do anything , she kept having one phone
call after another .......Get you caller ID , and check those
calls ............They will never believe you ,,,,,that you're that
person , they will threaten you .....
Change the phone number ........well worth it ........
becareful who you give that number too ........
if there's a prerecording , hang up on it .........
you don't have to pay , then don't worry ...........
Tell them if they keep bothering you ....
you will turn them over , where they will
be fined $5,000 for each call ........... |
