DO Unpayed Medical Bills show up in your Credit History?
DO someone know that if UNPAYED MEDICAL Bills show up in one's CREDIT History or NOT?
Yes, they will show up on your credit history. The reason for this is that if medical bills are left upaid they will probably be forwarded to a collection agency. You may also be taken to court which may result in a judgement against you. This will also show up in your credit history.
There is a good side to this, however. Medical bills are considered unavoidable. Everyone is subject to these kinds of bills (unlike credit cards or loans for material things like cars, etc.). An unpaid, maxed out credit card looks worse than an unpaid medical bill to lenders.
Try calling your creditor and set up a payment plan. The faster you can pay it off the better. Good luck!
