Okay, when I was 14-15
My brothers used my social security number and I blv my name aswell to get cable, cellphones and stuff. Since they had bad credit.
And they did get those services with my personal stuff, and they never payed the bills, which is aprox 1,000 and more in debt.
Does this mean I now have bad credit?
I don't want to show up to a job interview and they probably checked my credit and they are going to see that "i'm"

Yes, I was aware, and I couldn't do anything back then I was young. & my mom has used my SSN as well, but I don't want to report her, and besides she never has any money so she can't even pay up.
& I doubt any of my brothers can even pay it up

Yes, it means now that you do have bad credit, but it also means that your brothers are guilty of identity theft and of fraud. Unless you do something now to clear this matter up, it will haunt you for a long long time. Do your brothers still live at home? Do/did your parents know about this situation at all? You should contact your brothers and tell them that unless they straighten out the matter you will turn them over to the police. After all, why should you suffer for what they've done and failed to pay for. |

You are not allowed to sign a legally binding document until you are 18. Meaning if your brothers posing as you using your information signed agreements that cannot be legally withheld in court. The companies that granted lines of credit through your social security number were irresponsible, and did not check the information to see if you were old enough to sign such a document.
Also if you brothers did it in your name then it is fraud. Fraudulent lines of credit cannot effect you as long as the proper people are notified and the proper forms processed.
I would get a copy of your credit report, and if there are any negative marks on it then you should be able to get them wiped clean. You might have to go through a couple 30 day periods before they can be removed.
Simply all you will have to do is show them that you couldn't possibly have engaged in agreements like that because you were too young. |

Yup! You probably do. But don't waste your time being depressed. Get your brothers to pay up!!!! Tell them what you just wrote here. And tell them that you were kind enough to help them out (I'm assuming you let them do this?) and now it's time for them to even the score. If they did it without your knowledge, they broke the law and you should tell them this. It's possible you broke it as well by letting them use your ss#. There are ways you can straighten this out but you have to stand your ground. And NEVER let anyone ever use your personal information again!!!! Learn something from this! |

You need to get a copy of your credit report and check it out. If they did in fact do what you think they did, then they committed a crime....identity theft. You must then file a police report if you want to even try to get your good credit back. I know this may cause problems in your family but they should have thought of that before they destroyed your good credit and your name.

My suggestion is to pull all 3 of your credit reports - Experian, Equifax & Trans Union and check to see if there are any negatives on your report. If there is have your brothers to pay for it or be turned over to the police and taken to court. Also contact each one that is negative and require them to validate the debt and inform them that your under the age of 18 and can not be legally bound to their contracts or agreements and request them to be removed from your report as your under the age of 18.
Did you let your brothers use your information or did they do it on their own?? How did they get your SS#?? Do they still have your personal info?? What is to stop them from using your personal info in the future?? I would suggest putting a fraud alert on your credit report, also talk to your parents and inform them of what they did if they are unaware of it.
To me it sounds like your are being more responsible than (I'm guessing) your older brothers.
