I'm about 2,000. in debt. Some are credit cards and some are hospital bills. I know this debt isn't large but I want to clean in up. I am stressed over the letters and calls from the collection agencys. I don't have much money. Do you think this is the way to go?
The only other option I have is to borrow from a family member and pay them back. This is very embaressing and I want to aviod it if possable.

if your debts are in default, call the collectors and ask for a settlement, or ask to work out a payment plan. if you don't talk to them they can't help you, and they will harass you if you make no effort to pay them. i would avoid getting into further debt with yet another creditor. |

Call the credit card company and the doctor/hospital billing dept. and set up a payment plan you can handle. Even if the payment is small, they will get off your back when they see you are making efforts to pay the debt. |

anything that says they will help you clear your debt is a scam. get a job, work, make money, and pay off your debt. that is the best thing, and burn all your credit cards and don't use any for a while until you learn how to control your budget. |

don't consolidate your debt. It messes up your credit worse than anything. What you need to do is give them what you can! keep making an effort and keep paying till its gone. trust me they just want something rather than being ignored. |

This is not credit consolidation company, it's credit repair.
The company only disputes inaccurate entries on your behalf, they don't help you pay off your bills.
Businesses touting credit repair can be very expensive and most often ineffective. These services are not necessary as you can do the same thing for free.
Either pay what you can, seek a credit counseling agency in your area or online to help. And unless they're looking to sue you for the debt, don't sweat it.
The damage to your credit has already been done, so there's not much you can do to make it better except wait. A couple of years from now, your credit will start to look better. |

Nothing magic is going to happen when you submit yourself to a credit service. You can read about the credit collection protections that are in place and you will find that you have more protection than you are taking advantage of.
Do what you can with what you have and get caller ID. |

No. That is costing you more money.
What you do is make a list of all your incomings and outgoings. (being realistic). Dont forget to allow an amount for emergencies and clothing etc. When you have worked out what you have left, divide it between all your creditors and contact them and offer to pay that amount to them each month. Most creditors are happy to accept small regular payments rather than keep harassing you and getting nowhere. |

If you can borrow money from a family member, i'd do that. Don't feel embarrassed at all about it! EVERYONE has some sort of financial debt. If you borrow from a family member, set up a payment plan that works easy for both of you. This way you don't have to wonder if the website you were looking at is a scam. Good luck. |
