Companies like these take advantage of people with poor credit histories. My advise is to keep clear, it is companies like these that will bully you into making payments and can and will increase payments at the drop of a hat.
The links below have some useful information on them which may help there is a lot of reading involved but the advise if priceless in the long run. |

in answer to your actual question - i dont know, do you trust them?
in answer to the question I think you meant to ask - this is a standard "loan finding" company trick. You are paying them to find you a loan, of course they might not and then you would have paid them NOT to find you a loan, either way you paid THEM not the loan company.
Personally I wouldnt touch it with a bardgepole disinfected at both ends, but you might be more desperate for credit than me (I was bankrupt years ago so dont want loans agian if I can help it). |

The safest place to apply for a loan is a bank or credit union. Some small lending places or the money quick to people with poor credit are very risky. They make hundreds or thousands more than you borrow on the interest they will charge you.
Go to a large well known place. Stay away from the small get money fast places. I have had many loans(all paid off I might add), and haven't had to pay administration fees up front. It is usually figured in your loan payment. |

when you apply for a loan there are fees that have to be paid but that fee is usually added to the loan. check into that. |

No. Adverse credit or not, they shouldn't be asking you to pay the admin fee upfront. Usually the Admin Fee is incuded in the amount of interest and other charges you pay in with the loan. |

In UK, a building society or bank is the place to go for a loan. I don't think they charge an admin fee up front. Shop around for the loan, like you would shop around for anything else. Avoid small lenders which are not building societies - they are often loan sharks. Unfortunately, if you have an adverse credit rating, you may find it difficult to get a loan from a reputable bank or building society, because they would consider (probably rightly) that you may not be able to afford repayments on further borrowing. But you would only make matters worse by getting into the hands of a loan shark at a high rate of interest. Your own bank may be able to help you consolidate eg credit card borrowing, which tends to be quite expensive, into a bank loan at a lower interest rate, and reschedule it too, with a bit extra to tide you over. You can ask, anyway! |

Did you apply at a bank or other financial institution? I never heard of having to pay for applying for a loan, but I could be wrong. |

Only deal with big reputable banks and other financial companies which are well supervised by the government and the press.
Small money lenders are the scum end of the business. There is nothing they will not do. Avoid them like the plague. |

I volunteer for a credit union and I would suggest you try and contact your local branch the list will be at www.abcul.co.uk
If that doesn't work out for you PLEASE make sure they are FSA registered. It wont mean they are a good deal, but atleast they are legal.
Might be worth looking at www.moneysavingexpert.com as he usually has the best offers listed, if they will take you. |

no dont pay the upfront fee. consult some of the larger banks and loan companies, they should give loans without upfront payments. |
