No, but if you are not in reciept of a regular income I would highly discourage getting one simply because if you don't have an income how are you going to pay the money back plus the interest which they add on? |

As far as I know if you have a hubbie in full time employment then you're OK. But if you'll take my advice....don't go along credit card route. Use a debit card then you'll only spend what you have and won't run up debts you can't afford. This unfortunately happened to me a few years back and I took out a bank loan to pay it all back. Took me over three years to pay it all and I'd never touch a credit card again. Its really scary to get THAT much in debt and having a credit card is just sssooooo tempting. Be careful. |

Hell no!
They just want your money...they don't care if you can really pay it or not, cause then you eventually just owe them more money later - interest! |

Most credit card companies ask for your employers name |

No, but it helps. Most credit card applications will ask who your employer is and/or what your annual income is. They do not double check this information, for the most part, and you can juat lie and make up an employer's name if you want. If you can't pay your credit card bills I wouldn't do that though. Too many young people these days are getting into all sorts of debt and ruining their credit. It is hard and takes a long time to rebuild your credit. Think about it, would you rather have credit now or when you have a family to care for when you may need emergency funding. |

No. As long as you have a very good credit history that is what matters. |

No. Just some form of income or a very good credit rating. But I warn against the damn things!!!!!!! |

You can get one with a lot of bank accounts, other than that all you need to do is make so much a month. I know people on Social Security that have credit cards. |

i think you do with 99% of the card companies but you can find the odd one,,the interest rate is around 29% bit high but i suppose how desperate you are to get a card,my advise is don,t bother |

Yes, the company wants to make sure you have an income so that you can pay your credit card charges. |

with'capital one' no. i applied as a homemaker and got one. but they do ask for an upfront deposit. mine was £125 i think, but it can go as high as £200. you get £200 credit for the first six months, then they review it and may increase. they charge £20 for late payments and being over drawn. |

Most want employers details, they want to know if you are able to pay off your debt eventually. |

Nope. You can have money in a bank account and get one. |
