Does any one know how i can get a better credit rating?
got ccj's and cant get credit any where

The older the ccj is, the better off you are. If you honestly reform and responsibly pay your bills for at least a year, you will be able to say to future lenders that the ccj was a thing of the past and that you have changed and show your credit history to prove it. You will still get higher interest rates, but at least you can get credit.

1) If they are satisfied, make sure it is noted on your report.
2) Get a secured card and use it. Pay your bills on time for a year. Develp a responsible history. You can find them on www.bankrate.com. You have to pay money up front for a secured card. You put up a few hundred dollars and then you are given a credit line of how ever much you put up.
3) See if you can get store cards or gas cards. They are expensive, but they will help you get a history.
4) Cancel any accounts that are not being used.
5) Get your credit report and really analyze it. Correct all errors. Make sure all your outstanding debts are satisfied, that all the information that is there is really yours and that no one else is taking things out in your name.
6) Either now, or in the future see if you can take a loan. Pay it for a year.
7) When you eventually get cards again, never max them out. Always keep below one third of the credit limit.

Unfortunatly CCJs stay on your credit file for at least 6 years if not for life. If you are looking for a loan there is some companies that will give you one if you have had a ccj or bankrupt but they charge higher rates. Also the more credit facilities you apply for makes your credit score lower! Good luck xx

yeah pay your debts duh!!

tommy
if you've got ccj's you dont deserve credit.
do you see it as your entitlement?

MSMORTGAGE
Even with a bad credit rating you can get credit, you are obviously going to the wrong credit companies, I arrange mortgages and loans for people with bad credit for a living, the rate they offer won't be the best in the market place but thats the price you pay for ccj's, but credit repair can be arranged.
Hope this helps. Need anymore info - email me.

Something that works for me is what I call the stair step method.
This is how it works: You take all of your credit cards and list them in order by rate. The one with the highest rate gets the highest payment each month. As you get one paid off, you take that payment and double the payment of the card next on the list. Be sure to cut-up any card with too high of a rate. Or better yet just cancel it in writing. Pay every card every time. Best to pay it the day you get it so you don't forget.

The reason this method works is because you get points for timely payments, paid as agreed, and length of time with the card. You also get points for using fewer cards. If you have too many your score goes down.

To get a better credit rating,Do not get into anymore debt until you have paid everything off that you owe.If you do as i suggest the time will come when you do not owe anybody anything, surely that will be a better feeling than you have now,it is the only way.

Have a look here.

No-one will give you credit if you have defaulted on payments already. They don't know you, they only have your previous credit history on which to judge your ability to pay and your level of responsibilty when it comes to paying back what you already owe. Maybe you should start small, right back at the beginning, as it were. Get a cash only account, this will only allow you to spend what you have. Then perhaps in time you will be able to gain favour in the eyes of the bank. The credit rating has to be earned.

get better qualifications get a better job, get more money, pay things on time. dont drum up debts. hope this helps.

Pay your bills on time. Never leave them unpaid. Dont spend all your salary at once, stagger your direct debits. Get yourself on the voters register. Have your name on a utility bill. Dont keep applying for credit eg credit cards or store cards as they have to do a credit check everytime and this leaves footprints. When they do a credit rating the just see that somebody has done a search against your name but they dont see what for. if you have many searches against your name this raises alarm bells.

NA A
Pay stuff on time.

contact the credit consumer advice service (website available) and ask for their assistance,. wont be able to get any credit for at least 6 months though and you would have to keep to the credit agreement that they suggest but in the long run would help.

However, i would suggest that if you are not very good at paying your bills (like i was once) then you may always have this problem until you change the way you look at things and change your responsibility towards finance.

It can be done but it is a long hard process that takes alot of effort and willpower.

Good luck to you!!
