First thing get your credit report with all 3 major agencies. Then dispute all negative entries. The dispute process take aprrox 30days during which time there witll be no negative items in your credit file because it is under dispute. Use this time to apply at Orchard bank, Capital One, First premier, etc. They may have interest rates on the high side, and some have annual fees, but at least they are not secured cards. You should be approved for at least one. If you don't then as a last option get a secured card.

There are more that a few lenders who specialize in credit cards for people with bad credit. You just have to look a little harder than most people have to.

And getting a card after you've had a few problems doesn't necessarily mean that you have a higher than normal rate. Like I said, you'll just have to compare between credit lines, yearly fees, and interest percentages. Just make sure you do your homework BEFORE you commit, and you'll be fine.

You can find some offers for credit cards, both secured and unsecured here:

You're going to have to do it- from "Scratch". Go to your Bank (& if you don't have an Account in one- GET ONE. It's the FIRST place credit companies go- to see how much a "risk" you are...), and see if they'll give you a Credit Card through THEM. If THEY say "no"- then it's because they KNOW you haven't been paying your bills, & NOBODY is going to give you Credit. However, if you can keep a "clean slate for a year or so, you can TRY AGAIN- & THIS time your Bank will probably give you a low ($2,500- probably) Credit Line Credit Card- to see if you can keep up with the payments. The LONGER you keep up with your bills & those payments- the BETTER your Credit will get- & the HIGHER your Credit Line will go... ... Good luck! :)

If you have bad credit , it's time get establish good credit. You will benefit a great deal with a secured credit card since it's really your money that's being spent and the banks gains profit by charging you interest on your own money and you benefit if you make the payments on time. You know , build a good payment history for yourself

keep it limited to a secured card that will help you build your credit. Do not try to go to Orchard bank they are a rip off and have extreme high interest. It is better to wait and try to get a credit card when you have better credit, but most credit cards are bad news. Why pay money to use your own money? Why not put your money in an interest bearing account and use that money as your credit?
