Does anybody know if doing paid online surveys actually pay you?
i been looking at working from home options on the net and i'm wondering if these paid online surveys are worth doing or are they just a scam?

There are many good online paid survey sites which conduct market research surveys. Many of them give handsome rewards for your participation in online surveys. You have to join each of them individually and you get survey invitations by email. Rewards for surveys vary from $1 to $20 or more. Many pay for each survey you take or give you points which you can redeem for cash at a particular level. Some of them enter you into sweepstakes.

All are free to join. The so called paid surveys which charge money like $35 for you to join are only databases of such free to join companies, which you have to join individually. But only 30 to 40 out of those 500 or so survey sites are really worth joining.

I've included a list of the top 10 websites which I'm using on the above blog if you want to take a look.

Paid surveys are some what best way to earn some extra income. I receive at least 2 surveys per day from different paid surveys site. Some of them are from $.20 to $5 per survey depending on the length of surveys. Which I think is very fare price.
You can find many surveys site I have found them from http://www.dollarmantra.com you can check out the site for many other online earning options.

no, they are not always scams.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Businesses hire market research firms to conduct surveys about their products or service.
2. In turn, the market research firm will seek out participants to complete the surveys.
3. Potential participants may gain access to companies that are conducting market research by subscribing to a site.
4. Once subscribed, the participant will receive a survey request in the inbox of their email.
5. The next step is to open the email and click on the link to answer the questions about the businesses product or service.
6. After the participant is done they will receive money for answering the survey through a service such as, paypal or clickbank.
7. The market research firm then will organize and analyze the data.

it is very hard to actually get paid in cash by these online surveys as most reward you with gift points or vouchers which you have to shop at specific stores and spend an amount before you get the money off. Be careful and always read the small print. Don't ever believe the ones that say you can recieve like $5 per survey you know this it not believable and put there to coax people in to scams

I honestly do make good extra money answering paid surveys. I usually will spend about an hour or so a day answering surveys and average about $40 a day = $950-$1300 a month. The only trick to making decent money is to sign up with a few reliable free sites. Never pay to join a survey site though---there are plenty of free sites available! :)

For a list of the most profitable free survey sites see:

Also if you were interested in a legitimate online job, there are some very good companies and directories I’ve been successful with. Depending on your skill set---there is a tremendous range in employment opportunities available—ranging from Data Entry and transcription services---to virtual customer care---to writing articles and posting product reviews as well as webpage design. For some reliable companies that will not charge any start up fees see:

This might not help you in particular but for anyone else that happens to read this question. Im a bartender and i joined bartenderlounge.com. They send me surveys about once every couple of weeks and if i log on to do them, i accrue points which i can later redeem for cash. I took about 4 surveys and they sent me a check for a little over $30. So for any bartenders out there, sign up. The surveys take a few minutes of your time and its always nice to get a check in the mail, even if its for 30-50 dollars.

But to answer your question. If you are looking at a work from home position that is going to generate some sort of "income" for you, then paid surveys is not the way to go. There is absolutely no site out there that is going to give you enough money that you would consider it a 'Job' If you happen to run across a legitimate one like i did, you might make enough to treat yourself to a nice lunch or a new outfit.

Try some online jobs, where you don’t have to pay upfront money. Online data entry is an excellent career to consider if you want to work at home. The equipment needed for this type of job is very minimal. You only need a computer with an Internet connection, a table and a comfortable chair. Data entry duties include the inputting of correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets into a home computer and then transmitting that data using the Internet. Work at home data entry personnel may also proofread text, edit information, and maintain databases. Data entry jobs usually offer flexible scheduling, allowing people to work when they want to and as little or as much as they want to. Some of the growing fields for work at home data entry include medical and legal transcription, medical coding and litigation coding.

This type of work is becoming so popular that many fraudulent websites have emerged offering data entry jobs, which promise huge profits. The best way to find a legitimate data entry job is visit a reputable career website. You are more likely to find a genuine work at home job using these websites.

There are several freelance websites that post freelance data entry jobs. Avoid responding to ads that do not list a company name or contact information. There are many reputable freelance work forums that can provide you with work at home data entry job listings. The forums are usually free to join and provide trustworthy information. Once you have found an advertisement for a work at home data entry job, check out the company by visiting their websites. You can also do an online search using the company name and visit the Better Business Bureau website to see if they have been listed as a fraudulent company.

Hi online surveys are for real, there are many legitimate paid survey sites (but also many of scams sites). It's not a job though, just a way to make extra money. I have done it for a while and have been using this site http://www.mysurvey123.com which has free lists of legit survey sites with reviews and ratings, and guide and advice (such as how to avoid scams etc.)

Hi.. Everyone needs money these days, sometimes we need to earn some extra money and thanks to internet for making this possible. I remember I was jobless before a year back, so I was searching for some online jobs. I have tried everything and nothing worked out. I have even paid some fees and lost it. Later I came to know that if someone ask money to join them to make money is a scam. And very few companies are legit these days. I then joined a survey company, and the best part is that, its absolutely FREE to join, I got registered with them as I got nothing to lose. They credit my account with $5 right away just to join them<!--Later they gave me some surveys, and i got huge money doing it. They got some offers to and after completing it they will credit our account. And these days am making more than $50 to $75 a day. Its very simple and I am doing it just by sitting in home. And you heard it right... Making money sitting at home with just a laptop and an internet connection. So now you ask me, whats that name of the survey company and please find that below....

It will take only 10 secs to register your account. Free internet paid surveys are the quickest and easiest way to earn a good income working from home or anywhere. All you need to know is how to fill an online form, and to click a few mouse buttons. Paid surveys are suitable for people from all walks of life and all ages. Whether you are a teen, a university student, a working adult or a retired grandpa-->there is a free internet paid survey for everyone and anyone. Free internet paid surveys are really an easy way to earn some extra cash to supplement your income. I hope this will help you in making money online.
