I know that this seems out there but try capitol one especially if you are trying to rebuild your credit. I got one with a very low credit score (523). The limit began low $300, but after 3 months of paying on time it increased to $500. I am working on rebuilding my credit so I am not going to increase my limit any more than that, but I bet you could incrementally if you wanted to.
I understand what you are going through, and it is very easy to say, consolidate your bills or work on getting a better credit score, but sometimes that card could be your helping hand.

There are more that a few lenders who specialize in credit cards for people with bad credit. You just have to look a little harder than most people have to.
And getting a card after you've had a few problems doesn't necessarily mean that you have a higher than normal rate. Like I said, you'll just have to compare between credit lines, yearly fees, and interest percentages. Just make sure you do your homework BEFORE you commit, and you'll be fine.

my friend defaulted on a credit card once maxed it out to 500 dollars,and reaplyed to another credit card company name {household bank.com} and he actually got a nother credit card,i also filed bankruptcy once, and a year later got a new credit card from {capitalone.com},i would also try creditcards.com there they have credit cards with peaple with bad credit,also if that does not work if you have a banking account,you can go to the bank and get a secured credit card,say 100 to 300 dollars,you put 300 dollars on a credit card ,you will have credit and help you reastablish your credit,just ask your bank, i had the same problem, also you said its a hospital bill somtimes they will work with you a write off some of the debt,best of the luck to you |

Credit cards for people with bad credit are EXPENSIVE. High interest and fees will have you at the limit before you even get the card so don't do it.
Clear up the derogs on your credit report and get your score up so you can get a standard rate card. |

This is a tough one. You are waging an up-hill battle, but it CAN be won!
There are many great suggestions on how to get credit when you don't have it or it has been tarnished, improve your credit score, and get out of debt in the book, "Kill Off Your Debt--and LIVE!" You can get the electronic book on Amazon.com or at www.GoldenRocFinancial.com.
Basically, you're going to have to shop around, talk with lenders (YES--actually TALK with them!) about your situation, what you're trying to do, and try to show them you're worthy of trust when it comes to their money. Also, talk with you local credit unions. They might be able to help, too. |

There are some credit companies who will consider you, but if your credit score is low to begin with, your interest rates will be ridiculous. It's better to talk about consolidating your debt and paying it off. Acquiring a credit card now will just increase your debt. |

Credit card companies are like snakes - you play with them long enough, you get bit. Get out of debt and pay with cash. (I realize it's easier said than done - for me to - but sooner or later you have to come to the realization and work hard to make it happen.) |
