After a divorce, my credit isn't good at all. In fact, I even filed bankruptcy two years ago. Just a few months ago I purchased a used (only two years old) car. It was 26,000 and I only put down 3,000. The payments are high, because the interest is high, but it wasn't hard to get the loan at all. |

$100K is higher than the median income, but not a whole lot more from a paycheck. In a "best-case" scenario, you really only get to keep about 60 percent or less of that check.
Think about it this way: $100,000 x .60 = $60,000 / 24 biweekly paychecks per year = $2500 per check. Then figure in Rent/Mortgage, HOA fees or similar, utilities, transportation, household upkeep, groceries, other debt payments (I'll bet yours are astronomical).
If you have kids, that money is already spent before you get it.
Take a small loan with a fixed rate to consolidate and pay off the CC debt, and make as large of payments as possible.
Clip coupons.
Read more literature from the public library.
Do things that don't cost much.
Develop a hobby that generates income.
Etc. |

You're lucky that your income is high - because with bad credit, they will want a large down-payment. You will, no doubt, get the car though. |

You can pay cash or you can go to a
"we tote the note" type car lot. They ususally
don't care what kind of credit you have because
if you default on the loan, they keep your down payment and then resell the car again for the same
down payment. |
