The federal government began a program in 2006 to allow you to view your credit report from each of the 3 reporting agencies (Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian) once a year, free of charge.
The website for this program is www.annualcreditreport.com. If you check the report from each agency at a different time, you can keep an eye on your overall credit picture every 4 months. |

Free credit report.com but you have to give them a credit card and then call and cancel it before 90 days are up.
Annual credit report.com -- It's free once a year and you have to answer about 5 questions. Unfortunately if you get 1 question wrong they tell you that there mailing it snail mail and then you never get it. |

www.annualcreditreport.com works with all three credit reporting companies. Once a year you can get a complete report from all three at the same time.
Cheers! |

If you have applied to anything credit based then you can get a free report through them. Also If you have a checking or savings account then you can get one from your bank by starting a trial membership for a credit report. just remember to close your trail membership before the trial is up or you will have to pay the membership fee. |

they all say that they are free but after they have collected the information they ask you for payment in order to receive the results. So they are not free.

Check into the major reporting agencies. Depending on your state, some have to provide one a year free of charge if requested. Massachusetts is one of the states. There are several more on the list. If that's the case, just call and ask and they'll send you one, usually via email. |

hello, no one is in the business unless they can make some money out of it so beware of anyone who says that it's free to see how good your credit is. so just try out equifax.com also i think that the 1st time u try to find out a credit report for yourself it's free then after that it's not free. good luck, nobrethequeen |

No, I haven't found one. When you put your info. in at freecreditreport.com, they don't charge you right away. They WILL charge you later, though, if you forget to cancel your service. I signed up and when I called to cancel my service, the woman talked me in circles and basically told me "no." I had to be pretty firm with her. So technically, it IS free, it's just a big hassle! |

From the FTC's website:
Important information from the Federal Trade Commission, the nation’s consumer protection agency: annualcreditreport.com is the ONLY authorized online source for you to get a free credit report under federal law. You can get a free report from each of the three national credit reporting companies every 12 months. Some other sites claim to offer "free" credit reports, but may charge you for another product if you accept a "free" report.
I know from experience though that although you get your report they don't give you your actual score. |
