How regularly you pay affects it, it's essential to pay on time each month as it is kept on record. The amount owing will affect it too. If you applied for a loan and they saw you owed a lot already it may affect their decision. They have to be responsible lenders and therefore not encourage you to get into more debt than you can afford. |

Yes it does. If you are paying the minimum requested by the card company, your credit record will show that you are a good creditor whereas, if you are missing payments, your record will show that you are a risky payer. |

as long as you pay the minimum each month, that makes you a great creditor as it shows you are paying the money that you owe back, but they can screw you for a long period of interest.

Yes, even if you are just a day late, you are late and the Credit Card company will report it.
Best to set up a direct debit to pay your minimum payment every month, then you can pay more if you want.
If you have concerns about your rating you can get a copy of your credit rating from Equifax plc, PO Box 1140, Bradford, BD1 5US You can also apply on-line for a copy of your Equifax file by visiting www.uk.equifax.com.
If you've been refused credit you can get advice from your local Trading Standards Department, Citizen's Advice Bureau or Consumer Advice Centre. The Information Commissioner also produces a useful leaflet entitled 'No Credit?' You can obtain a free copy from the Information Commissioner's website www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk or by phoning 0870 442 1211. |

As long as you're current it's fine. In fact, they love to see a balance - it means you're using the card which means they're making some money off you. |

Yes, yes, yes! Always keep your ballance below 50% of your credit line to keep it as a good point on your credit report. Also pay your bills on time every time. |

No. Only late payments, bounced checks, things like that affect your credit rating. If you pay at least the minimum payment each month you are ok.
Even if you miss a payment or are late, it is up to the discretion of the company to report it to the credit bureau or not. Typically credit card companies are strict. They most likely will make the report. |
