If you're trying to change your ssn due to a possible fraud, they do have a fraud dept. Their toll free # 1-800-269-0271.

first of all yes you can change your ssn if you feel it has been compromised due to identity theft. and yes there is a fee. i am not sure about the amount. you will need to contact the credit bureau. trans union, equifax or experian.
