Everybody's posted their answers, I'm going to give you mine.
Those bills do NOT report on your credit, unless you become delinquent. Doesn't it suck that nobody sees you paying something as important as that every month, but the very second you don't, now it's on your report?

Well, a new credit bureau called PRBC changed all that. If you're needing to build or re-build credit by reporting payments that you're asking about including rent, phone, cell phone, insurance, which are other monthly bills that don't get reported on regular credit reports, you can do it with PRBC. The scored report PRBC uses can be used with your other reports to help your credit, but just don't take my word for it, check out the website! (click below)

No not at all if you owe them money and don't pay it will go on your credit years ago it didn't but now it does.
Good Luck

Yes unpaid utilities can go on your credit report. You can also be denied new service if you have a utility that you never paid off.

If you do not pay on time, then yes, they can report it to the credit bureaus. If you fail to pay any of your bills on time it can affect your credit.

Yes! If the bill is in your name, it affects your credit. If you live with roommates and the bill is in your name, make sure they pay their share or u will suffer.

andrew5544
Yes actually, good question.

These type of monthly bills are not reported to the big three credit bureaus. Along with cell phones, gym memberships and trash pick-up.

The only way these type of accounts will be reported to the big three is if you do not pay them and they are sent to collections.

The answer is both Yes and No.....

If you pay on time all the time then it has nothing to do with your credit as most if not all electric, gas etc. companies don't report that you pay on time etc......

However, if you don't pay them and they send it to collections then it does go on your credit as a negative.... this is the only way that I know it will show up on your credit, as I have never seen any on my report.......

As long as your account doesn't go into collections, it shouldn't show up on your credit at all.

It can affect your ability to get utilities in the future, should you move into a new area.
