I purchased an item on ebay on friday evening through paypal and i received confirmation to my email, on my paypal account it reads TRANSACTION COMPLETE & PAYMENT STATUS complete. Another e-mail from the seller reads:
- Your payment has been received for Item # 150068640448
and
- We will send you another email when we ship the item.Thank you !
And i received the last e-mail that reads:
Dear ****
We have packed your eBay UK Item # 150068640448 To: <My home address>
>>Our postal pickups are Monday-Friday at 2pm.<<
Please allow 3-5 working days after despatch (excluding Sat/Sun/Bank Hols
Now,does this really mean that the money has been deposited into their account? because I have checked my bank account several times and no money has been taken out; this worries me since it's my first time doing this "ebay purchase and paypal payment" thing.
Can anyone give me detailed and informative reply PLEASE! |

Money in your paypal account does sometimes work differently to the money in your bank account. If you have withdrawn money from your bank account into your paypal account then the money you spend from your paypal does not show in your bank.
If they have sent you that confirmation email and paypal say the money has been sent then there shouldnt be any problems at all because they are sending the item which I would assume means they have recieved payment.
If you are worried or want to check with paypal here is paypals telephone help number;
Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. GMT until 10:00 p.m. GMT
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. GMT until 10:00 p.m. GMT
Sunday: 9:00 a.m. GMT until 10:00 p.m. GMT

There is also an email contact but they should be able to tell you if the payment has cleared. |

I hope you have better luck that me, They took my money twice and I still never got my goods and that 3months ago, Paypal refuse to acknowledge my emails and phone calls, and ebay say that because the item was less that £15 in value it falls outside their protection,
I have had to right it off and will never use Paypal again |

Here is the possible answer. If you have used a credit card through PayPal you could call that card's customer service number and the transaction should be stated there. If you used a checking account, banks do not run updates during the weekends so you may not see the transaction on your bank statement until Monday evening.
If it was a credit card purchase, the money was transferred over to his PayPal account.

It takes awhile for it to be taken out of your account,and you
may also find you will get your purchase before the money
is taken from your account,happens to me lots.
So don't worry it sorts it self out. |

It is not an automatic transfer.. it will take between 3-5 days to leave your account.. but don't worry it will be debited. It's the same when someone pays you money for something you have sold on Ebay. It goes to your paypal accont and you withdraw it to your bank account but still don;t get the money for up to 7 days!!! |

You're fine. They received your payment, before the money was taken from your account. It will take your bank 3-5 days to catch up. You'll see it taken from your account in a few days, don't worry. |

I use paypal and e-bay regular, it will take a few transaction to become familar with processes. I would also advise you to make sure your firewall and anti-virus software is upto date as this will give you more peace of mind also. Only trade through e-bay also as sometimes people will e-mail you and ask to do the transaction out of e-bay (to save on charges from e-bay). I would only do small transaction with regards money (say less than £20) until familar with wot you are doing, I have had some great bargains on ebay and saved loads of money ENJOY and good hunting |

If the person is going to ship the goods it probably means that they've received the payment. Sometimes there is a delay between the transaction completing and it showing on your ebay account as being completed. It will probably take a day or two to show on your bank account too. Don't worry about it, check your paypal and ebay accounts later today and if it is still not showing then drop them an email and ask them if it's gone through. |
