703 is the score Experian give you and not necessarily what score that the credit company would give you, I think people have the wrong idea in regards to credit scoring.
Credit file companies view things in a different way to the finance companies, because they are not the ones lending you the money.
When I was 19 and I went for my first car finance I had to get a guarantor because of me age, so that if I stopped paying the guarantor was then liable |

It might really save you some money to just get an automobile loan price online to verify what the going rates are. You might be really happy. Also if your credit is not good, a lot of online loaners are more willing to work with you.
What I always tell friends is that an internet quote at http://auto.lowratetoday.com is the way to go.

There are 3 major credit bureaus. Experian is just one. this happened to me when i bought my car. My experian report said 697 or in the 690's. I got approved for a loan and they told me my credit score is really in the 590's. One credit report says one thing and the other 2 say other things. I suggest if you have experian then pay the extra to get all three credit reports.
Also, if your trying to buy a car-try putting a parent on the title, that way you can get a better loan and get approved. |

That is a FAKO score. You should get all 3 of your FICO's and reports. If anything is wrong, dispute it. |

Finding a bad credit auto lender take a little bit of work to find the right one. When looking to buy a new or used car, the dealer may offer bad credit financing, or refer you to a lender. Car buyers should consider arranging their own financing.

Unless you have a 700 or higher credit score, it might be a good idea to look at your credit report and see what you can do to improve your credit score. A 700 score will get you the best rates at the best loan terms.t. |

All kinds of methods are used to determine your credit score. While your credit score with expierian might be high, maybe they checked a report from another bureau, scores on different bureaus can be very different. There is also a chance that they used a different scoring model. Scores that are put out by the bureaus aren't widely used by many lenders or finance companies. Since you are relatively young your lack of credit might also be hurting you. Additionally the amount you want to finance might be playing into the equation. These are just a few of the possibilities
Hope some of this info helps. |

FICO scores are not the only determining factor in extending credit. I was in the same boat as you, at the same age as you, when I was working. Your credit score starts out at around 700 when you have no credit history. It will go up and down from there. What you need to do is establish credit (i.e. credit card) and make payments on time for a certain period of time. A cosigner might be able to help in this situation as well.
You also have to understand that the credit markets are still tight because of the turmoil in the markets. Banks/lending institutions are skittish, so they will not accept any high-risk loans (i.e. someone without sufficient credit history). |
