Depends on how bad your credit is. I know of some people who have gotten a Hooters Mastercard with a $1000 limit with FICOs in the upper 500-low 600 range, but scores lower than that and recent negatives would get you declined.

Most of the subprime cards only offer limits of $200-300 to begin with, and with super high fees, lowering available credit to $50 or so.

The fact you need a credit card will probably stop you from getting one. Credit typically is extend to people who do not need it.

I don't agree with you in your belief that you need a credit card with a $1,000 limit. The fact that your credit history is poor should be an indication of the dangers of using credit (debt).

What about having a checking account with $1,000 of your own money in there? Then you could have a debit card attached to that account to make purchases. When you use your own money you think a little more about the purchases. Also, you don't have to worry about paying someone else back (with interest if the balance isn't paid off in full at the end of the billing cycle) when you use your own money.

Start today to change your habits. Cash truly is king!

Debt Slayer
Your "bad" credit history should give you some insight into why credit cards are a huge scam. Shred your credit cards and pay cash for everything. If you really need a plastic card in your wallet, get a debit card. A debit card can do everything a credit card can do except increase your debt.

I really don't think you can find something like that for people with bad credit and if you do the interest rates will be really high.

In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company<!--This amount will be equal to your credit limit. Pay over your minimum every month and send your payment in before the due date and you will build your credit up gradually. Never miss a payment, be late on a payment, or go over your credit limit even by a small amount.

You don't want the company to ever have to take from your pre deposit amount because they want you to handle your account just like you would an unsecured card. A great thing about this pre deposit amount that you send in is it can act as a savings account even earning a little-->bit of interest for you. After establishing yourself with the credit card company, they may decide to give you a unsecured credit card or increase the limit on the one you have with them without having to make another deposit. Secured credit cards are a good choice for anyone wishing to rebuild their credit history.

Try for Hooters mastercard.

It all depends on your credit describe bad, some credit cards will not take the risk if your score is 595 or below, but you could give it a change check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com here you will be able to compare all major credit cards, good luck

Your question gives the impression that this new credit card even if you get one will get you into debt. Sorry to be blunt.

If you want it to improve your scores by responsible spending you can try your local credit unions.

Major credit card issuers like Discover, American Express and Chase offer a credit card for bad credit holders. A 'shopping' card offers you an unsecured line of credit from specific sellers. Use these cards to increase your credit rating, since the credit bureaus will be informed about your timely payments.

Take care to ensure your credit is good by making intelligent credit choices. Keep low balances, do not be extravagant and take care to pay off your balances promptly every month.

i agree with above poster. The fact you "need" it means you probably wont get it. My credit card companies are always raising my limits and one card they raised to 12,000. I'm like...what am i going to do with a limit that high? Credit cards should only be used so you dont have to carry the cash around and they should never be used like a loan. Never ever! Otherwise you will be on here one day saying. "I am being sued by credit card, can i go to jail?" Just like you see some of the other posters saying here.
