check your credit first, because your credit cards and others put you with collections agency , so even you are willing to pay them,
you need to know where to send your payments. make sure to ask them to send you the letter , that you pay them in full, because they are not that fast in updating your info with the credit biuros- you can do this by yourself. after 2 yr. you can try and settle with them for lesser amount- you don't have nothing to lose, your credit suck in this point anyway. |

Honestly it depends...you could pay it off and then they will report it again to the credit bureaus as paid...but its still bad because it is probably considered a collections account. So..you may lose both ways... by paying it and them reporting it again and 7 years from now it will fall off your credit report OR not paying it and in 5 years it will fall of the credit report... I would probably PAY it because it shows responsibility and ability to pay your debts you will more than likely be able to get a credit card...try preferred financial they work with people with bad credit. |

How in the Bloody Hell did you get that much in debt at 20? That's just insane. But no you will probably not get another credit card for many years. You should pay off your debt in big amounts month by month to show that you can make payments on a regular basics. |

Most companies will settle for lesser amounts if you ask them to, especially doctor bills. Be sure to learn from your midstakes if there are any credit cards, don't spend what you don't have. Pay cash, or go without unless its an emergency. Go see a Financial Consultant, they can be very helpful, but again, their first rule is don't spend what you don't have |
