We sent them a bag with 16.9 grams of broken gold jewelry and they say they never got it. I find that hard to believe since we took the package into post office ourselves. Just wondering if that has happened to anyone else. |

Even if it is a scam, looks like this one is on you. Always mail anything important with tracking and delivery confirmation/signature. |

Actually, I'm not sure I'd send gold to a perfect stranger even WITH tracking and delivery confirmation. Seems kind of risky. Was it just a "send us your gold - we'll send you money" kind of thing? Did they say how MUCH they'd send you? any specifics?
Sounds shady.
But bottom line - when sending anything important through the mail, you need to use tracking and delivery confirmation (signature required is the receiver is squirrelly), or you're out of luck if it never arrives. Or even if the receiver CLAIMS it never arrived. Without proof otherwise, there's not much you can do about it. |

The postal "service" has been going downhill for decades, so it is possible that the package actually was not delivered. You can file a claim at the post office giving all the information about when the package was mailed, etc., but it is very unlikely that it will do any good. Because you did not insure the package, send it "certified" or "registered," you have no proof whatsoever that it was ever actually sent. While it is also possible that the Cash 4 Gold people are ripping you off, you will have difficulty proving it. Your best bet is to determine how much money the gold would have been worth on the open market and decide how much additional time, money, and energy you want to spend in chasing after what has been "lost." You might decide that the best course of action is to forget it and move on. |

Where I live here in NY, a postal carrier was arrested for stealing a package meant to get shipped to cash 4 gold. When he was investigated it turned out that he stole packages from 4 other people. I wouldn't trust anyone. |
