Not getting scammed

Well personally I smell a rat here.
I also sense that a few of these posts are from them.
ALL things point to fraud.
- Supposedly 13 years in business but not in the business phoone directories.
- Hosted in Arizona??
-Domain registered under an individual?? Yeah right.
-Money upfront???? Yeah right. Canadian loan brokers act says it is ILLEGAL to ask any up front money. Banks wont even ask any money upfront.
- Everyone qualifies no matter what????? yeah right and I have some nice swamp land to sell you.
So basically if you want to lose money then go ahead but I am 250% certain that they are scammers and that the post saying go ahead and send money are actually them (read the messages carefully and you will agree).

I was just reading the answers and it funny that those that seem to have gotten there loans all posted at the same time you guys are just trying to be way to smooth so if you recieved your loan show the proof or are u just gonna think of another way to pull the wool over peoples eyes
does anyone know where to get a legitimate loan if your credit score is not the best? |

Yes and I applied for a loan from them last week, secured some money only to find out, today, that their primary lender went !!!!BANKRUPT!!!!
So, it won't be for another 2-3 weeks (maybe sooner) before I get my loan!
What a drag! But, oh well, at least it is not their fault--as far as I know. But I'm kind of wondering, too, if they really had a plan of action in case something like this were to happen.
I am still waiting to be contacted by customer service. So far they understand my anger and have been updating me a few times on the situation.
So far, Bill Daly has been very helpful as he was my agent who got the loan process all started.
Please note that if you wish to follow up, I have listed the contact # below. PLEASE don't be rude to the CSA as they are well aware of this issue and are working frantically on getting a new lender.

i have done the payment with them last week and have as yet not recieved my money. The contact person i have dealt with keeps promising to call me back with an answer and i dont hear from him so i keep calling its looking more and more like a scam to me ill be contacting the police tomorrow to get them involved.
Well its for sure now this is a scam i was passed from bill daly to some racheal person who told me that the lender had backed out of the agreememnt and that it would take 6 to 8 weeks for me to see my security deposit refunded and this is after the police contacted Bill and told him they were going to be investigating this complaint . So im also going to be contacting the BBB today and filing a complaint with them
Ok just for your own peace of mind anyone who has given these ppl money call phone busters and let them know what is going on with this they will be happy to take all the information you can reach them at www.recol.ca or call them at 1-888-495-8501 and as some of the others here have stated it is illegal to ask for fees on a loan upfront

I applied for a loan 2 weeks ago and they required a secured payment. Even though i was uneasy about the process I still went ahead with it because i really needed the loan. I sent in my deposit and even though i got it 4 days after rather than the 24-48 hrs that they say they do it in. Im really glad that i went through with it, Bill Daly did a great job. |

Well if you do your stupid cause anyone with a brain cell that is active would know these people are going to scam you for your money.
So send them money if you want but dont cry to anyone that you lost your money since you are not smart enough to read this thread or even do your own research would would have indictaed these people are CROOKS.

If anyone has applied to Canadian Loan Group DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!
I applied two days ago and I was a little suspicious so I called Better Business Bureau and they told me to call phonebusters. I called phone busters and they told me to stop my application and do not send them a dime. They told me it is illegal for a loan company to ask for money up front no matter what the reason. This scam is going on all over the place. Phonebusters knew most of the details about the scam such as using moneygram to send money. The reason they use moneygram is because it is untraceable, anyone can open an account. I am sorry for those who have been scammed but I thank you for giving us all a heads up. |

i dont know what you guys are implying but i got my loan on monday. Ya it seems like they are fraud but if they are fraud why did they give me my loan. if i saw this any earlier i probably never would of went through with it!! it seems like some people are getting their loans and some people arent?? i hope they dont scam me and take back their money? |

I know someone who just received an acceptance and was given an 8% interest rate and his rating is like really bad. He showed me his credit report and its 570.
Well if LEGIT finance companies that finance people with bad credit and have interest rate of %35 percent dont want to finance him why do you offer 8%????

My business registered our domain name NOT an individual and ALL legit companies register the domain name under the company has its an ASSET.
Advance fees are ILLEGAL IN CANADA idiot. So if you are legit then stop charging advance fees and take that fee from the loan.
Whats that you cant do that?? Oh thats right thats cause you are crooks and there is no loan.
So if you are legit give us the name of your bank so that we can contact them and see if you truly have a bank account.
Oh whats that you dont have a bank account? Ah thats right in order to have a business bank account banks require proof of a business as well as business phone lines.
And if you are legit then you need to contact the federal government to explain what you do so you get listed in their directory which has all the loan brokers in Canada. Which there is a law against charging upfront fees.
And if you are investors and not a loan broker (which is not what you have been saying) then you also need to be registered as a finance company or as ANY and ALL investment companies you need to be INCORPORATED.
ANd whats your corporation number and registration date?

So basically you are a fraudulant company and you need to stop your scam before you get caughth as trust me YOU WILL.
And you people who say they are legit cause you just got money from them I must ask.... WHY ARE YOU READING THIS POST? Cause you are not real people you are the scammers of this.
I know if I had received a loan on Monday I would not be posting today saying yeah they are real.
Like come on we all know that you are the scammers so be quiet.
So ive posted a lot and others have posted a lot of information. If you still are stupid enough to send them money then its your fault for being scammed.
But if you do be kind to the other people and post here that you got scammed to prevent anyone else from losing their money. |

Hi all
I also applied for a loan thorugh these guys.. and Mr. Burke said they could based on my pay ($).
However, I am leary as I got scammed just over a month ago.. they are not listed in the yellow pages, either by name, address, phone # or postal code. they are also not found anywhere on the net except for their website.. and the ip address is located in arizona to boot..
if anyone knows anymore.. please let me know.. as of right now.. i am taking the contract to a lawyer to have it looked over with the above information that i wrote here.. sounds like a scam though.
PS The information listed below is the name and address of the person whom the web site is registered to.. there is also an email here.. hopefully you guys can get your money back..

It is completely illogical for you to get upset this way.
And Viking you are justifying reasons why the delays to getting money.
Either that or you truly are another victim and you will soon realise that you got scammed.
As if the company that was supposed to loan you money went bankrupt? Thats not the way the investment/finance community works. If a finance company has commited to your loan you would get it (A real one not these scammers). and have you ever heard of a finance company going bankrupt? Neither have I due to STRICT regulations (both in Canada and the US and even the UK).
So thats my post. I may edit it if I get other evidence but to me this does NOT seem like a real company and it definately does not operate properly. |

I was curious to find out about this company too! I looked up these guys on the BBB and their address listed with the BBB is in Scarborough? I spoke to Mr. Burke and he told me that someone who has been denied registered their company with a bogus address and he also told me that the Canadian Loan Group has never been formally registered with the BBB. I think someone got pissed off at them and tried to make them look foolish. I'm going ahead with my loan because my friend got help from them in the past and he referred me to their company. |

I was approved for a business loan about 5yrs ago and they helped me keep my business above water. I understand your scepticism, I was the same way too. I had to put a deposit on the loan also. At the time it seemed fishy but I really needed their help. Now I'm making my payments and my business is doing well again. I gave them a chance because they took a bigger chance on me. They helped me from claiming bankruptcy and loosing my business. |

Well the owner of the domain name is NOT a corporation so i would be hesitant on that and its being hosted in Arizona??? Why would a Canadian corporation not be in Canada???

I was looking into and talking with Bill Daly, about recieving a loan. When I asked about providing a $700.00 deposit, he answered he has 2 kids at home, and the company has been in business since 1993. I looked to see if they are with the better business b., but they aren't. I think this is a big scam, and Im in on getting them too. The website states they are in Toronto on King st. and it's a 416 number. I also have noticed they don't call you, I've had to call to talk to them and discuss the process of the loan. |

Well I have sent them a deposit...so I really hope they come through for me either today or tomorrow on a loan. I will let you know either way what happens. They do sound legit so who knows. I just hope I wasn't scammed for the millionth time. Wish me luck!!!
Well today I "should" be getting this loan. If not then all hell will break loose! I really hope I am not getting scammed again. But I think this may be legit! I have spoken to the the guy all the time...he answers my calls..and emails. I heard a person in the background when I was talking to him one day and they were trying to collect money...someone who had gotten a loan from them. Anyhow I am feeling very un-easy now because of the replies on here...but will try to keep positive. The domain doesnt necessarily mean anything..as I tried looking up my own company that I have worked for over 9 years..and it says we're bassed out of california which is so not true!

Well today is Friday the 13th..and guess what??? I still have yet to receive my loan. They have used the excuse that the lender pulled out...which I know is a load of.... The lender pulled out AFTER I sent them the money of course! They guy that I am dealing with is still a very nice guy...but I don't think he's working on my case like he says he is. I am the one consistantly calling him..and he has promised me time and time again to get back..but I can sense that hes trying to avoid me. I honestly do now think I was scammed..and will give them a few days more...and if not i will be contacting authorities! |
