Does anyone here know how to read the questions states Has anyone received their stimulus rebate by paper check in the mail, not what is the schedule for them to be mailed? Are you freaking retarded? If you don't know someone or haven't yourself received your check don't waste readers time putting your ignorant answers. |

i did. i rcvd it on monday. my ss is 05. the irs website said my check was going to be mailed out on may 8, i rcvd it may 12 |

Yes, I got mine yesterday 05/15/08 and my ss# ends in 04 I live in Texas and I know of 2 other people also recieved theres today 05/16/08 And yes a paper check I havent received the letter stating how much they were paying me. |

I received my paper check yesterday, May 14th. I live in Dallas, Tx and it came from Kansas City. Last two social are 03. So you people should be getting it anyday. For those who have last two digits 20 and under. |

I have to agree with momeof2... My last 2 are 04 and my moms are 13.. i checked both of ours on the irs website and mine says to be mailed by 5/16/08 and my moms says to be issued by 5/16/08 they are both being mailed. I did get my letter yesterday saying I would receive it by 5/16/08 but still nothing yet and I checked the mail today already and still nothing.. |

NOPE got the notice Monday that would be here BY the 16th. Just checked the mail. OH well at least I have enough for a bottle of wine!! |

I end with 05 and my brother ends with 07 we both got a letter on wednesday but no check. I work at a bank and I have only seen 2 paper checks come in and both ended with 01 and this was on Monday. AHHHH where is mine |

How does Mister, Mister know if anyone is lying to anyone? You haven't stated the last 2 digits of your social or whether you filed via direct deposit or not. He is just giving a reference to find the correct answer.
But people, even still, the mail/banks are overwhelmed. They are having to deal with millions of transactions/pieces of mail
more than usual. Be patient.

If you go to irs.gov and click on "where's my refund" then on "where's my Stimulus" you can find out when or if it has been mailed. I rec'd a letter also that stated i would receive by the 16th but when I go online is says it will be issued on the 16th. I think the irs should be careful about the wording they are using. It is causing a lot of confusion. I think that the check will be issued and mailed on the 16th and I won't actually see it till at least a week after that.
The irs does recommend you allow two weeks from the anticipated date, but they won't do anything for you til it's at least six weeks late. For budget and planning purposes I would not rely on this check arriving any sooner than six weeks past the date your check is scheduled to be mailed. This way if it shows up early it's a bonus and if it shows up late you will not be disappointed or left in a bad situation. With as much controversy that has been going on over these checks I am not counting on receiving anything at this point. |

Here is the CORRECT payment schedule for MAILED checks, per the IRS website:
The date listed, is the date the paper checks will be mailed by....so allow obviously another week of transit time to arrive in your mailbox.
00 through 09 May 16
10 through 18 May 23
19 through 25 May 30
26 through 38 June 6
39 through 51 June 13
52 through 63 June 20
64 through 75 June 27
76 through 87 July 4
88 through 99 July 11 |

The checks started going out on May 9th which was a week earlier. I don't believe they are going out in any particular order because my sister last two are 28 and she received her check Tuesday and my co worker received her check today and her number ends in 05. My number is 10 and still nothing, not even a letter but when I checked the system it told me by the 23rd. The schedule I believe is put there so that we won't call them and ask "where is my money". |

It depends on two things:
1. If you filed your taxes electronically or
2. If you filed your taxes by mail?
If filed electronically you will receive direct deposit of your rebate into the bank account you used for tax refund.
If you sent in your taxes by mail than you will receive a paper check later than those who filed electronically.
The date you receive the money is actually calculated based on the last two digits of your social security number. So if your social is 123-45-67(89), then you will have to look at the chart schedule within the 89 range to see by when you should receive your rebate.
