I have always found myself where I feel that there is room for improvment and after staying in the 600's for many years, I made some changes and am pleased that I now rank with the good/excellent group.

Lemony Cupcakes

Well I'm 19 and am still trying to establish my credit. When I got hired at my current job, they did a credit check and I had a credit score in the 700's. I thought it was getting better, but i just applied for a car loan and got denied..lame. How can you get credit if no one ever gives you a chance?

My credit has improved greatly over the past year. It is still going up, and I am planning to buy my first home next year with my fiance....so trying to get into the mid 700's by then. She's in the high 700's right now, so I'll be looking for a competitive rate.

MLN
Improved greatly! I was about $15,000 in cc debt, but made it a goal to pay all of that off. Sure I had to skimp on things I wanted to buy and such, but I took every last cent I could to pay off that debt. My credit rating is through the roof now!!!!

It has improved. Just a couple years ago it was in the low 500s. Now my scores are in the mid and upper 600s. Soon I will be part of the 700+ club.
