Has your life got worse since you got a credit card?

Made my life easier - booking tickets, using it when i went abroad, for emergency expenses, etc. However, till now i have made it a point to repay the amount fully, so no troubles.

I like taking advantage of the benefits program :-)

Life will get worse if i miss even one payment :-(

Yes, have to pay lots of interest fees every month and then they seek in all kinds of charges. So unless you pay the total amount owed on them...do not use them! They can ruin your life and your credit if you are late.

no - i only used it once to purchase a sofa - couldnt get finance with the sofa company cos the new house i moved into that week (my first home) was blacklisted becasue people who lived there before me did a runner so cos it was my new address and the last buggers ran off without paying bills it unfairly meant the house was still blacklisted...so got cred card..used the credit card once (for the £1000 sofa) and paid it off over a few months...no problem :) will only use again for an emergency like that i guess...

of course not it made it more easy, now you can buy what you want any time and anywhere and having a lot of discounts for me i find it awesome.
But i don't know what you doing with it i feel you are shopping addicted that's why you feel bad cause of debts.

Yes it has, it was horrible, then it got great, all in all I don't think it had anything to do with credit cards.

If your history shows borrow and spend, then.... yeah! If your history shows make and save.... no! Put money away, and watch your spending... things don't look so bad now, but give about 5 months... you will start to see the results, interest rates droping credit background regs change, and that once easy to get 0 down or subrime house, will be next to difficult to get!.... Make sure you make the right decision in nov. Nov will have certainty, after that, uncertainty.... ( McCain 08)

No, its actually gotten a lot better. Have 4 cards, all of which are paid in full every month. Credit limits of $50,000. Interest rates at 2.99%. Mortgage loans at 4.875%. People who have credit problems will tell you not to use them. People with great credit will tell you, to use them. It all depends on your own situation, student loans, auto loans, kids, mortgages, child support.
