These are usually a con. A friend of mine sent for one and got a list of firms which might give him a loan. Of course non of them did. He was really paying £49 for a list.

It means you send the $49 to them --- and they'll run off with your money never to be heard from again.

You should NEVER pay when applying for a loan. If they ask for upfront money like that, you run in the opposite direction and scream SCAM to the top of your lungs.

Don't be naive and fall prey to these scammers. They're out to scam you.

Scam. Run the other way.

Don't send any money. anyone asking for money should get a
bright "red flag." Especially to a foreign country. It means you
will be forgotten, and you "don't" get your money back.

Yep, sorry to say it sounds like a scam, Brokers fees are paid by way of compensation by a loan company to a broker for finding them a new client. Any time you are asked for brokers fees they will have an option to add these fees to the value of the loan, not ask for them up-front (although that can sometimes be an option but not a necessity)

If you have bad credit then take a look over at moneysavingexpert.com. Martin lewis and his team have great deals (without the cons) for all sorts of people in all sorts of situations and he doesn't charge a penny for his advise.

A great way of making money... on the backs of people who desperately need it.
Shame on them!

Yeah - I agree, this is definitely a scam. Y ou should never have to pay a charge like this. The only money you should have to pay would be the interest on it. If you send them the cheque you'll never get it back!!

Despite what a lot of users have said here, it is NOT a scam. The fifty quid you'd be paying out is for that broker to then search through a panel of lenders for you. You are *not* approved for a loan at this stage. You'll only find out if they can get a suitable loan for you when you've paid.

*******SCAM******** No company would request a payment up front before any decision were made.

A real company would deduct any fees from the loan amount, or add it to the repayments.

The sole purpose of this is to take £49 from people who are desperate for credit and they know you haven't got the resources to get them to court to recover your money.

Avoid this SCAM like the plague.

Try phoning them and asking them. Don't get stung for £49, for them to tell you you've been unsuccessful. If you've got a bad credit rating then beggars can't be choosers. However, a lender should not ask you for payment, but they may want collateral or security assured on the loan, i.e a home.

I was in the same situation, I paid the same amount and the company ripped me off. Do not go for it, be very careful.

You might get a loan, one thing for sure the broker gets £49!

um i really don't know
