In the US, you can get a copy of your credit report free once per year. Just google "free credit report" and see what comes up.
I think there's a site called "freecreditreport.com" that might be able to help you. |

Do NOT use freecreditreport.com. It is a commercial site that requires your credit card. The correct site is annualcreditreport.com to obtain your mandated freebie.
And squeakers doesn't know what she's talking about. The company is "Equifax." Lord knows where you'd end up if you spelled it her way. |

By law, you're allowed one free credit report per year from each of the three major credit reporting agencies. This site allows you to get them, and they come up online in seconds and you can print them if you want to.
This does not give you your credit score, but gives the report.
freecreditreport.com is a commercial site that will ask for your credit card number and try to sign you up for various services that they charge for |

I put a fruad alert on my credit report.. and in the mail i received a verification and along in the package, they gave me access to my credit report for free, because i was thought to be a victim of fraud. Call Experian or any other credit agency and you can put a fraud alert on your file by following the instructions via phone. You'll get a letter within the next few weeks.. which then, you can contact them for your free report.
OR.. depending on where you live, you are entitled to a free report.. check that out on experian.com..

i think freecreditreport.com charges you 80.00
its a deceiving website my friend used it and had to give a credit card # "to verify who he was" then they charged his card and i think it was $80.00 but a new law was passed a year ago that entitles you to 1 free report per year from all of the credit agencies and i think its annual credit report.com if that isn't it google free annual credit report and I'm sure you'll find it |

Apply for credit with a credit card company, you can do that online. If you are denied you will get a letter in the mail, with that letter, add a photo copy of your I.D. and your Social Securtiy card and mail to that credit reporting agency that the credit card company used to determine if they can extend you credit... or not. |

well if u go online they can give u a free credit report, but if u call the companies they may charge something like 15.00 for a full year of credit monitoring so get a hold of equifax, transunion and experian, if u do it online they charge per month and that's too expensive. so call the companies urself! |
