if you're just starting out, you'll have to start small with a credit card with a low credit line. absolutely, positively make sure you pay on time... nothing will jam you up quicker than being delinquent on payments... if you're able to, get another credit card and keep the balance low, if any at all. don't carry too much open-credit and definitely don't carry too much debt. after awhile, you'll be able to apply for car loans, etc with no problem. the creditor's just want to make sure you can pay on-time... |

Secured credit cards are a great way to rebuild your credit. Most secured credit card companies require a deposit equal to the credit line your are seeking. Make sure they report your payment monthly to the major credit bureaus. Making your payments on time monthly will increase your credit rating. You will also get you deposit returned to you after one year, turning your secured credit card into a unsecured credit card. |

You can start off with your bank by doing a secured credit account........once you've established a good payment history ( usually for 1 year) the bank will then offer you an unsecured credit card.....this can help you establish credit. |
