How can I have a good credit score?
How many credit cards are recommended to have open?
How often should I use them?
What can I do to increase my points?
Can you give me some tips on how to maintain a good credit?

I have 694 points but I want to get more points

The people with the highest credit scores have a combination of several revolving (credit card) lines and installation (loans) lines. There really is no set number though.

The easiest way to build credit is to buy small things every so often and paying them off in full by the due date. If you have debt now, the best way is to pay it off; the lower the balances you have, the higher your score will be.

694 is an average score, which is good. And as your accounts age, which means that you shouldn't close accounts that you don't use, your score will also increase.

One more thing: There is no such thing as having too much credit, it's just how responsible you are with it. But you have to be careful about applying for it too often because it'll raise a red flag to creditors thinking you are trying to get into debt, and statistically, those with higher scores rarely apply for credit.

Below are links to articles for more and specified tips.

694 is a good start.

Never pay a bill late. Never default. Never settle with a creditor. Never go bankrupt.

Borrow a little more and pay a little more. On time. Every time.

There are many fine instructions on the internet for building your credit score. Find them. Read them. Live by them.

OH, ONE important thing! Each year you are entitled to one free credit report from each of the 3 reporting agencies. Get one of them right now and go through every item. In 4 months, get one of the others. Get the third 8 months from now. Won't cost you but maybe an hour or two each year.

I found one agency had mixed my report with another persons! Incredibly, it was like we were fused, and that guy had some bad news. So, I wrote the agency and had that problem fixed, and my credit score leaped up and celebrated.

Don't get caught up in this whole "credit score" b.s. It's just another phase that the elite are putting us through to prepare the non-rich for slavery. Credit score = a token system = slavery.

make sure all of your bills are paid as soon as you get them

How many credit cards depends on you. If you have too many, it can confuse you and you will mess up, miss a payment, go over your limit or something else. Get enough to keep track of. Use also goes by you. If you like using them for small things, do it, if you forget and cant keep track, I wouldn't use them often. There may also be requirements on your credit card reguarding use. To increase your points, just keep using them and dont mess up, time is the best way. The longer you are in good standing the better. Just watch what your spending, dont charge more than you can pay. I always pay mine as soon as I get the bills so I dont pay interest, and I use them all the time.

if you don't want real credit cards get a gas card it will help bring your credit up and they have low interst rates. bank credit is good too if you have a bank and are in good stants with them and been with them along time that will also help your credit. having a morgage will help big time. what to watch out for is that cars, satalight and music things that u can become members of don't help or do anything with your credit. hopes this helps.

a prepaid credit card is always a good option and if you use it regularly then your credit score will go up. another thing you can do is make large payments on your credit card (way above minimum) this way it will show that you have no problem with the minimum payments.

You should use your credits cards on a regular basis to get your score up so spend money on the card and always make sure you pay way above minimum.

To Repair credit score
Your credit score is based mostly on:

1. Length of credit history
2. Payment history.
3. Ratio of credit used to available credit.
4. Number of credit inquiries you authorized.

If you cancel your card, you'll be hurting your credit ratio. (#3).

You want to deliberately keep your oldest credit card open, even if you never use it.

You want to always pay the minimums of each loan on time every month.

You want to keep your available credit high, but actually only have balances equalinig 25% or less.

You want to keep your credit inquiries to a minimum. Try for no more than 3 or 4 per year for any type of loans.

You do these things and your credit score will quickly soar into the 700s.

Have a lot of open and closed accounts showing PAID AS AGREED, and on your open accounts, try not to have balances on many of them - and try to stay below 30% or 50% of your high limit on the account.

FICO loves to see people who use credit, but don't carry very much at one time other than mortgages, and have a lot available to them should they need it. You'll be over 700 in no time.

BTW, 680 and above gets you the cheapest real estate loans, but those with 620 or better can still get the same good price using an FHA loan !!

IF you have ANY derogatory info, even a 30 day late years ago, call the creditor and find someone nice who will remove it for you..you'll instantly be over 700 and maybe much higher if there's more than one.

Of course, pay all your bills on time.

Do not obtain more credit cards. I just have a couple, and use only one at a time. The more credit you ask, the more you become viewed as potentially risky.

Close any inactive credit accounts.

Improve your score by paying your bills on time first and foremost. Do not carry balances near the high credit limit. Do use credit, but limit the number of open credit cards to a minimum - about 5-6. Limit the number of attempts to obtain credit as it will increase the number of credit inquiries which reduces your score by about 3 point per inquiry. Do not close out your old credit accounts. There are other tips, but these are generally the ones that improve your score. Hope this helps.

Do not run credit checks all the time on your credit. It lowers your score.

Do not apply for credit all the time, because this also requires a credit check.

Do not have a LOT of open lines of credit, as this lowers your score. One larger balances is better than many smaller ones.

Do not close your oldest line of credit, as this establishes your length of credit history.

Any negative items on your credit must be disputed IN WRITING via letter, following the instructions on the link given below.

Many times, even legitemate negative items on your credit are removed if you dispute them properly. I got rid of a few bills simply claiming I had never seen an original copy of the bill (which was true) and the companies dropped the claim because the bill was not in the current year.

Almost all medical bills can be dropped.

The most obvious: NEVER be late on paying any credit card bills. There are some laws governing this, such as a balance has to be past due by more than 30 days, but don't get into that.

Do not use credit cards until you are aware of their tricks and schemes.

Write your congressman over your concerns of how the federal reserve is managed.

One good way to raise your score is to visit your bank and take a personal loan for 500$. You may have to secure this loan with a bank cd, depending on your credit score. Then go to another bank with that 500 and get another one. You should probably have 2-3 credit cards. When paying your credit cards make sure after payment you do not utilize over 30% of total available credit. I.E. credit limit 1000 your available credit should be 700$. Always pay on time. That is it pretty simple, if you can actually follow these steps. Also if you need a credit card you can visit http://creditcardwarehouseonline.com and compare cards side by side to find the best for you. Also has some great rewards and gas rebate cards too.
