That's what happens when you don't pay your bills,
Move back home (if you're not there already)
I trust the law suit is legit. It would have made more sense to pay a portion of the amount owed instead of nothing at all. |

Well it's entirely possible.....depending on where you live....the benefits for people on low income are amazing if you know where to look. Try taking public transit....dump the car, food stamps are really easy to get ahold of, get rid of the things you don't need like cable maybe? Or try not eating out...it's cheaper to buy food and prep it yourself.
If not maybe you should just marry rich or counter sue city bank and turn it into a bigger messy law suit. |

Get roommates, start living off Ramen, and cut cable. |

Dont you think you should have thought about this when you were running up that debt? why dont you try talking to Citibank and work out a payment arrangement before they take you to court. Nobody likes to sue and they like to settle fast. Try it. Good luck. |

Ok, first of all it is going to be next to impossible to live off that amount of money. While an under the table job may not be such a bad idea, do your research. Find out if they can really garnish you for that amount.Sometime we get railroaded as individuals because we do not know any better. But seriously, pay the money you owe. Face the responsibility of the debt. I t may not be as bad as you think. Maybe you will have to move in with family members, friends or get a room-mate. But what ever you choose, choose wisely. There are some things far worse than being garnished a few bucks. Keep your head up! Things will work out! Good Luck! |

You should speak to Citibank and try to work a deal with them to protect your wages. I wouldn't waste any time. Evidently you owe them the money, why not just make payments. Don't sit on your butt and wait for a garnishment.
Your employer will love you for that. You should have thought of the consequences before you quit paying them on time and monthly as you agreed when you signed the contract. |

Keep a budget...write on a notebook everything you spend money on....Good luck! |

I hate to say this but besides engaging in illegal activities, You better take on a secondary job that pays under the table. If your earnings are unreported they won't be able to garnish them,You would not be the first person to get their income reduced to far below poverty level . I hope somebody can give you some solid advice. |

Never eat out
Drive little
Pull money from savings or equity in a home if you have it to pay other expenses
Do work under the table so the state doesn't know about it and can't garnish you..
How long do you have to live like that?
Simply put cut all your expenses and increase your unreported income perhaps waitering or something of the sort.. |

The situation that you may get into is a very challenging one to say the least. There are "important steps" you can take right now within yourself to improve this situation.
You mention prayer and that action alone is important and a good one. I would recommend addressing this situation through a different mindset and different vision to achieve the best outcome for you. By that, practice the habit of placing a mental focus on a positive outcome for you.
Instead of focusing on a possible garnishment or possibility of living on $500 per month, focus your energy on "how can I achieve abundance"? You are like a radio transmitter in the sense that what you focus on is what is what you are going to "receive" in your life. You don't want this bad situation to happen to you, so it is to your benefit not to focus on this situation in a negative way. Instead focus by visualization, positive affirmation and prayer a beneficial outcome for you and the companies you owe. Instead of focusing on debt, focus on abundance. I realize that I did not give a specific answer to your question, but the answer given above is very, very powerful.
I went through a similar situation and ALL my prayers were answered. They were answered because I chose a different way I communicated with "the universe". You are welcome to go to my website for some more details that I have discussed: http://www.myspace.com/stress_free_living
Now is the time to "seize the moment" with this challenge and turn it around to a victory for you. The opportunity is there for you to rise above this.
My personal best to you! |

You may exist but as far as living. it would be impossible for any length of time, unless you can get a part time job and work under the counter. |

you cant!!!unless you move in a little efficiency untill youre done paying or move in with someone that will take you in until its payed for.Where i live(i dont know if its thje same by you)if youre under the pverty level which i beleive is like 15-20 thousand a year they legally cant garnish your wages. They might just be trying to scare you saying you HVE to pay this.Try to fight it.Tell the judge you wouldnt beable to live properly. My moms a paralegal and she handled the people who tried to garnish my wages. |

You need to visit a bankruptcy attorney immediately. End of discussion!
If you take any other advice, that would be a foolish move and probably would explain why your in this situation. |

Take on a roommate. Take advantage of government programs for low income individuals. Move back in with mom and dad. Get a better job. |
