If this is so you can qualify for a loan, my friend is doing loans regardless of fico scores with very low rates. Otherwise you can pay your credit cards down to at least 25% of the high limit to ensure the quickest way of bringing up your score. Kepp in mind the results will take 30 to 45 days to post and reflect your credit report.
You should shoot my friend an email, (he is a loan officer) I know he knows about credit repair as well so should be able to guide you in the right direction. Mike@afbankloans.com
Good Luck!!

When you cancel your credit card account, your score will go down because you will have less credit. The best way to raise your score is to pay balance due before the due date, that way it will show up right away.

DO NOT CANCEL YOUR UNEEDED CREDIT CARDS!!!

It may shorten your credit history. How much credit card debt are you in?
Pay it down that will improve your score :)

First off do NOT ever cancel any credit cards. This will result in a GUARANTEED decrease in your score. There are a few ways to increase your score. Never pay off credit cards in full, try to get them down as much as possible, but not zero (5-10% of limit is best). If you have one credit card with a higher limit than others then transfer the balance from the high one and try to even out the balances. Another tip is to check to see when each credit card company reports to the credit bureau and if you have cards that report on different dates you can transfer money from one to the other to lower your balance before eachh company reports. You can also call your banks and see if they will increase your limits (but only if they will do so without checking your credit as each inquiry will lower your score). Finally make sure you do not have any inaccurate information on your report.

Good Luck

Pay all debts on time ( at least the minimum payment and more if you can afford it ) and your score will rise in time

Ask to raise the limit on your current cards. This is what I did and my score has gone up over 20 points in just a few months.

Your credit score is based mostly on:

1. Length of credit history
2. Payment history.
3. Ratio of credit used to available credit.
4. Number of credit inquiries you authorized.

If you cancel your card, you'll be hurting your credit ratio. (#3).

You want to deliberately keep your oldest credit card open, even if you never use it.

You want to always pay the minimums of each loan on time every month.

You want to keep your available credit high, but actually only have balances equalinig 25% or less.

You want to keep your credit inquiries to a minimum. Try for no more than 3 or 4 per year for any type of loans.

You do these things and your credit score will quickly soar into the 700s.

It might help to cancel any un-needed credit cards.
